So are you going to release the 2.3.15-enhanced D2 theme today as a full re-release, or as a patch file to the current release.

Wondering if I should wait for a new full release, or flash current and get a patch file later today/tomorrow/whenever.

I'm going to flash back to 2.2.20 - can I flash the new version over my previous setup - 2.2.20 stock/deodexed w/your deodexed theme applied?

Or do I need to go all the way back to stock/deodexed 2.2.20 to apply it?

I will hopefully have a patch ready shortly to address the Contacts issue and the accidently slipped in DX stuff

If that works OK, I will incorparate that into the version I already released and upload a new full version. It will still only be for the current Official D2 software.

To go any further from the current version I am waiting for an "Official" Update for the Droid 2 to whatever the number is first. OR until I can get a copy of the Pure Stock Odexed Leak. I prefer to do both Odexed and DeOdexed at the same time and work with a virgin stock ROM..plus I want to see an "Official" version before I spend too much time on it.

It seems these leaks can sometimes change from day to day, no way I can dedicate time to keep up with that.... especially bouncing between 4 phones, D1, D2, DX, and now Dinc (a really nice Forum I know sent me a Dinc to Theme and it arrived today ...not to mention all the Custom ROMs I have to keep up with....scary part is I have a real job too!!! I hope some of these updates slow down, it is getting tough to allocate free time for all of this!!

BTW, just to be totally anal about this I'd like to get a very specific answer on the updated theme...can I flash the new theme you're hoping to update and release soon directly over my current setup, which is 2.2.20/deodexed with your current theme applied?

Or do I have to go all the way back to 2.2.20/deodexed, your previous theme not applied?

Only 4 phones, you need to get off your rump, the fascinate needs a theme, evo 4g waiting on there theme, galaxy s and captive folks are waiting. People these days they just stop working hard after one good release.

Thanks, donates do help with the Domain and file hosting for sure.. as long as I get $30-50 a month, my out of pocket expenses are covered (so far the average is about right, THANKS to everyone who has donated)... and my wife doesn't give me the evil eye.....just kidding, she supports every crazy thing I do 100% and usually helps me when she can (when she is not too busy picking up my slack when I spend too much time Theming, OUCH)

Anywho, as a rule you can always feel comfortable flashing my later Themes over my older versions versions (as long as the ROM itself is still current and the Theme is for that ROM).... I am fairly consistant (OK, anal) about my file structure and file counts in my Themes for each phone.

So yes, when I get the Contacts patch out shortly, you can flash that over what you have, and then (if you guys tell me it is OK) when I release the fixed full version of "r23" you can flash it again if you like.

BTW, if everyone will note the latest version I posted here for testing is purposely named "r23" in the filename instead of "r2315" in hopes to avoid confusion that it was for the "2315 D2 Leak" (guess that didn't work out very well for some . When I get time to Theme it with ALL of the files from it (app and framework) the Theme version will change to r2315...but even it will still be compatible with the current official D2 2.2.20 software.....at least it should be...in theory...I hope.....

So again, you should be able to flash the released version of r23 (remember it's not really officially released until you see it in Post #1) over the test version of r23 posted earlier, or r2b, or r2a etc.

NO, I will make an official Release post here and it also will be announced in Post #1.

Almost finished with the few changes/fixes I wanted to make ...should have a patch update to test soon for those that already downloaded the file you linked.

Applied - seems to work fine here too...only potential issue is that I'm not seeing any facebook updates yet on the right screen (when you swipe to the right in the contacts view.

I'll try removing and re-adding my Facebook account.

Hmm...when I go to Settings>Accounts and click on Add Account, it takes me back to the Settings listing...Add Account button isn't working for me...anyone else?

Cleared Data on "Accounts" in Manage Applications and that didn't help.

Tried it from Gmail as well (open Gmail, go to Accounts, click Add Account button at the bottom of the screen and it closes immediately and goes back to the home screen.

Speaking of help...Help!

Fixed my contacts also. Confirm My Accounts closes when you try to add a new account.

I have added back the link for the "r2" Theme on the download page www.928droid.com/Droid2.htm .... I would suggest flashing that until I download the Droid 2 "2.3.15 Leak" and use all of those files and framework in my Theme to avoid this situation.

No aggravation...nandroids are our friend, just fell back to a backup w/r2.

Glad you're working on a path forward. FWIW, I tried a factory reset and that didn't help w/the account creation issue. Also found that Battery Manager usage started FC-ing again, even though I had cleared data and it worked for a bit, so an issue there as well.
