[Theme] 928Droid Black Glass X for DROID 2 !!!

So why don't you just deox your phone..?..its easy enough. Im newer to android and I did it no prob. It takes a minute but that's just the computer doing the work. Really, its just a few commands to put in.

Question, and I think this is the right place to ask it.

I was running the Black Glass theme on my Droid 2 prior to the 2.3 update, and for some reason, after the update I no longer had the black glass theme. Its gone back to stock, I got my root back and everything else back to normal, I just wanted to know if black glass was compatible with the new update and if it was going to cause any problems if I install it again.

Well i had to revert to stock to get the update to take OTA. Updated fine, deodexed my phone and then tried to put black glass on and it went in to a boot loop. Went back to stock rooted update odexed and no problems. I think it was black glass messing up with the the update but i will find out tomorrow when i try to run it deodexed without black glass.

Yeah I'm sure framework and services have changed, so the theme will need to be updated.

I was running this theme on my stock odexed 2.20 rom I updated today to 2.30 and theme was gone... rebooted and reinstalled black glass everything is back to normal except my dialer is out of whack (I don't have a 1 key anymore and if I hit the 6 key for example it dials a 7)... any help available or do I need to wait for the theme to be made for 2.30??? Thanks in advance

I just did the new SBF 2.3 flash myself and i'm also waiting for this to be available for 2.3.. this is an amazing theme.

so the deodexed version is not out yet for the 2.3.20 update? That may be why I bricked my phone last night. I got stuck in the boot into the home screen, see the 928 goodness, reboot to the eye, lather, rinse, repeat.

I bricked because I spaced out and moved my backup file off my SDcard. YAY.

Got a new D2 today and will watch this forum for the updated and tested deodexed D2 2.3.20 verion.

But I have a question, can I install the odexed version for now, then when the deodexed comes out for the new ota update- deodex my phone then install the deodexed version over top of it? or is it best to start from scratch?

Patiently waiting some good advice from you guys, love the theme- and the great info from this thread!

Okay, tried the odexed version and it worked fine until I realized that my dialer is wonky. Like the post above- my numbers are:

Unlike the poster above, I cannot fix this by installing the deodexed version. Last try bootlooped/bricked my phone due to my being on 2.3.20 and not having a backup (my stupidity)

I have another post about a released deodexed update.zip on another forum. Hoping to get an answer wether or not I can deodex using that. When I tried deodexing the last time, I got errors. Perhaps that is why it failed.

Either way, I'd really love to get this working if anyone can help!

Looks like I'm not the only one stuck in a boot loop after updating to the 2.3.20 system version.

Awesome forum by the way! I've been jumping back and fourth between here and the XDA forums and finally decided to register to this one also (been registered to XDA for a few years now).

Yeah, I thought about going back to my odex version back up and flashing that theme in, but if the dialer is off I guess I better wait.
