What I did was the back to stock theme and it didnt work again so then i reinstalled all the system apps i deleted and did a full system restore and that worked but what is funny i still have root access to my phone i thought a system restore kills root access well i am going to hold off on themeing cause now i have to reinstall everything on my phone and i ll wait for 928 to figure out this problem

I had the same problem. I had to go back to stock, and then do a factory reset. I read in some forum that this problem connecting to google servers happens sometimes even without theming, but it never happened to me before. I loved the theme, but I am reluctant to try again without assurance that I won't have to factory reset. I use appbrain, and that helped, but being on the road it is a pain. I am also going to hold off until I get someone to tell me if this theme will stop the OTA update to 2.2. Anyone?

P.S. I will totally donate for this theme if I can get it to run solid.

contact quick task widget not working

Anyone else having a problem with the contact quick task widget? After i installed theme i created a quick action for my wife no problem. Created one for my daughter and it would not let me add an action. Says to make widget bigger before adding more tasks. Dragging larger functionality also is not working.

I would bet it's not the theme causing the connection issues. It's happened to several people that were running stock phones and it's only happened to 2 people that had this theme.

I am also going to hold off until I get someone to tell me if this theme will stop the OTA update to 2.2. Anyone?

The phone should'nt have any problems updating to 2.2 with this theme installed, the update only looks for the presence of certain .apk's and I dont know how it could possibly tell that the images within the .apk have been changed. You will probably lose some/most of the theme with the update though since the update will most likely replace some of the themed apps and files. Worst case scenario, if the update didnt go for some reason you can return it back to stock and then accept the update. Nobody can guarantee that you wont have to do a factory reset, anytime you're modifying files in the OS of any device things can go wrong without rhyme or reason. The odds are in your favor though, the overwhelming majority of us have installed and run this theme with no problems, and 928 goes beyond what most theme developers will to replicate and resolve issues.

I'm looking forward to reinstalling this theme on 2.2, I know he's already been working on it :icon_ banana:dancedroid. After that I look forward to installing this theme on the vanilla android 2.2 ROM without all the blur crap dancedroiddancedroiddancedroid

Thats because ADW launcher isnt set up properly to use the blur widgets. If you want those you'll have to uninstall any other launcher/home apps that are on the phone and it will revert back to the stock launcher and you'll have proper use of the motoblur widgets. The only other option (and the one I use) is Launcher Pro Plus, it works with the blur widgets and allows widgets resizing. Do some research on Launcher Pro if you're going to use it though, it's an awesome launcher and runs fast and smooth, but it also has a lot of options and choices so there is a small learning curve to get used to where everything is with it.

I don't think the Theme could cause such issues either...BUT using MetaMorph has always been a little finicky.....HOWEVER.... I am currently testing my UPDATE ZIP THEME version as I type.

This mean no more messing with MetaMorph and wondering if the permissions got set correctly and all sorts of issues wil be GONE.

MetaMorh has to change/update all the files while the system and files are being used...an update.zip does when the system is not booted into yet..BIG difference and results in much less (basically 0) installation issues!!

Plus it installs in seconds.....

IF you have gotten Koush's recovery app "Droid X Recovery Bootstrap" it is in the Market now...your gonna need it!

What a HAPPY DAY!!!!!!

Look for the new Update.zip in a few hours!!

This will also be a new updated version with lots of tweeks and enhancements to the Phone, Contacts,and all the Blur Icons and Menus.

Yes the update zip is always the way to go...I had to go back "old school" with X ...until now. There will be no more Google sign issues and all the other intermittant issues!!

I tried the Back To Stock theme that came with the black glass r2 and it wont get rid of the black facebook or twitter and neither will a terminal emulator. thanks

FYI, you don't have to uninstall MetaMorph, it is a handy app for some things.

Check the Download Folder in about 10 minutes... the Back to Stock Update.zip is uploading now.....FYI, the New Update.zip Black Glass X Theme is already there ...

Thank you so much man I can't thank you enough for such a beautiful theme it's like a brand new 2012 phone and then some dancedroid hell, once I showed it to my girlfriend (an annoying i*hone 4 user) she asked me to do that to hers and when I said no Apple is retarded she's going out to buy a Droid X right now for this theme haha anyways thanks again for the hard work put into this sexy theme

Question: I am getting a control file missing error on metamorph, Haven't seen any one having this issue. Is there a reason i would be getting this error. I have tried dl the file on computer and coping it to phone, and have also dl the file directly on my phone and either way i get the error. I do have usb debugging on, so don't know why this is happening. Any thoughts?

Tell me EXACTLY what you are doing with the file after you DL it to your Phone.... step by step.

My X is rooted. I do have MetaMorph installed. I run metamorph and choose the 928DroidBlackGlassX-DroidX-UpdateZIP.zip and choose unzip/extract new theme. It starts to work and gives me the Theme you selected is invalid because the theme control file be missing.

How do I fix this? I've tried rebooting, dl to comp and transfer to phone, dl directly to phone, same issue.

Better yet, get Droid X Boot Loader and then use my newest Update.zip Theme version..much simpler and better.
