Two Releases Two Days, Froyo Anyone? - Sapphire 0.6.0

as too the facebook issue it is an easy fix that will be implemented in the next version. until then you can un-install facebook and push a copy of the facebook app provided with the frf57 leak to /system/app that initial app that is provided is what allows for the sync... the market app doesn't for some idiotic reason...

Does anyone have this working? I pushed the FRF57 apk, and am able to log in, but once I do it takes me straight to the "Finish" screen, not the usual sync options screen. If I hit back I can choose what to sync, and then hit finish. However, nothing syncs and Facebook does not show up under my list of accounts. If I try to add a Facebook account it just goes straight to my list of accounts.

Is there more to this than just pushing to /system/app?

wifi being addressed in good news. I'll be back on this ROM once that's taken care of, and theming is an option. stock is ugly :(

Wifi hotspot will probably be removed for now until I get a chance to look into it more. There seem to be some driver problems with it.

I think I was able to get wifi working using an experimental kernel from bekit. (thanks bekit!)
so wifi to my router.... a go or no?
tethering?

This was a mistaken fix. There seems to be a problem with facebook across all source builds. It's being looked into.

should fix wifi to your router. tethering should still work using the app off the market, but native wifi hotspot will need more work.

I'm probably talking about stuff over my head, but I've been reliably able to fix wifi (to my router) by replacing /system/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicants.conf with one from a backup created on FRF57. I can't find *any* difference (permissions, ownership, data, etc) between the two files, but I can replicate it over and over. .conf file from anything *but* FRF57=no wifi. .conf from FRF57=reliable wifi (over 24 hours now w/o a problem).

EDIT: Just want to add that this seems to be kernel independent.

Downloading now.... :D

I have to say, besides a few nagging, but small issues, it's really nice. :)

I can't wait till they can get to work on features after fixing these problems. I will be glad to say I've stuck with them from their beginning when their ROM becomes one of the biggest and most used ROM's in the Droid, and hopefully other phones, community! I am sure this ROM will be a huge success.

In that case...I'm in too. Looking forward to seeing it flourish.
