I think most of the market problems people are having is due to it trying to sync your apps in the background. When the sync icon disappears it is not done yet. If you check at that point, you see it didn't download apps, and think it didn't work. But it's probably still working on it.

I let my phone sit there for like 20 minutes after initial boot, and eventually it said restored x apps. during that time, the market is gonna seem like it isn't working, cause it is downloads a bunch of apps.

I don't know what it was with my phone, but I couldn't get any of the froyo roms to run without reboots. Got a little tired of installing, rebuilding, and then going back to a backup.

Can you guys take a look at wifi? There something messed up with it.

Sometimes it won't scan.
Sometimes it won't connect.
sometimes it works fine.
Sometimes when wifi connects, the tether icon is there, sometimes not.
All the time that it is not connected, it shows wifi tether icon - even though it is disabled.

Wifi tether can't be enabled. It gives "error".

read the changelog. There's really nothing "stock" about a ROM built from source. There's no theme, if that's what you meant

Really wondering why I tried this. Then again, its day #1... unfortunately sniffle, Im forced to remove your hard work, as I cannot be without my Google Maps / Nav... I use it for work.

No worries there will be more from where this came from, is going to take a little while for everything to be 100%, we haven't had any issues with any of these things so we're looking into it.

I just reinstalled it and market started downloading my apps before my phone even finished it's initial sync. Gonna let it sit for about an hour to let everything settle while I hit the weights. I will definitely tinker and find any issue and report them immediately.

I can be without the WiFi Tethering (although that is the REAL reason we all want 2.2 I believe) but if you can help me get the Maps back on the phone and with NAV, I will gladly keep this on my device and help you every way I can with testing..

I happen to be a software tester for work, and enjoy this sort of stuff.. I just need my NAV.

if the download is sitting market trying to download cancel it and re-attempt to download... that's how i got my market to work, other than that the only real idea i have is to boot into recovery and format system data and cache and try again sorry that it your having so much trouble.

The market is working now, however Im getting the "Installation Unsuccessful" for Google Maps. Do you know of a fix for that?
