I put the D2 keyboard back on. As I don't use the slideout at all. It just seems to me to be more forgiving about "fat fingering" the wrong letter than the D1 keyboard was/is.

Okay I am having a few minor issues that I am sure is just user error on my behalf... In the screen shots it shows facebook and twitter themed to match the rest of the ROM. My facebook and twitter widgets are not themed... so how can I fix this? My next issue is I saw on the screen shots external controls for the music player on the lock screen, I do not have this either. How do I enable that? Thanks in advance

You enable the music controls by going into Settings -> UD Settings -> Input Settings. It will be under lockscreen settings, and I may need to retheme and update the versions of twitter and facebook on my server, but if you uninstall the updates from manage applications the themed widgets should appear.

Howdy gang (welcome back BD!)

Question, if most of my apps (102 of 138) are installed to my SD, what is the best way to back-up and restore?

Everything I've tried in the past puts apps internally and I run out of space in a hurry. I have TBU but i can't seem to get it to work right.

I haven't wiped since UD 5 and I really want to, but the thought of spending hours manually reinstalling apps turns me off.

Any suggestions?

Also, I can't seem to boot to SPR. I have tried flashing it thru CWR and thru the UD settings but it just hangs at the M and then reboots.

Any ideas?

Lars in rom manager try reflashing clockwork then sprecovery then clockwork then sprecovery. Once you get sprecovery installed why don't you just uninstall rom manager. Nothing but a headache. Good luck!

Just updated to UD 8.0 from 7.0 and so far everything is smooth as ever. I've tried other ROMs (BB, Sapphire, SS, and others) but so far UD has my vote as far as stablility and customization.

Only thing that failed me an gave me a bootloop on is Watermark'D theme installation. :icon_eek:

Im hearing very good reviews of chevys lv lately. Either that of his medium voltage. Heard of some strange issues with P3's and google goggles.

I'm running Slayher's 1250 kernel (from Liquid Frozen Yogurt) and I'm getting a Quadrant score of 1764. That's faster than I've ever had with a Chevy or P3 kernel. Then again it could just be the awesome ROM. I haven't tried Chevy or P3 on UD 8.0.0.

thanks black droid...i knew you were lurking around somewhere was lookin for you over next door...anyway i have the chevy MV 1.2 ghz kernel now and running around 1550 quadrant..is this about the norm? high? or low?...im sorry i dont know much about it
edit---i also cant seem to run anything over 1.2ghz

This is one of the many reasons why I quit using CW. It seemed to hijack my phone as well and not let me flash Sprecovery.

Another way that has been mention on DF's before, and has worked for me as well, is to flash an older version of CW from the CW panel then go back and flash sprecovery.

Good luck. As of now, youre missing out on a great rom!
