When I go into Settings > Location & Security > I only see 3 options in the Screen Unlock section
Setup Screen Lock - Lock screen patters, pin or password
Show Custom Message
Custom message

should there be something else in this section to allow me to customize the lock screen?

That's all i have but that's all i would think it needs.. under setup screen lock, you have all the options you need.. ;-)

1-Is there a way to get the default phone interface instead of the UD one?
2-Is there a way to change the number of desktop screens to just one?
3-Is there a way to change the look of the app drawer to default or any other theme?

Battery life seems to be a little poor compared to UD7. Does anybody feel the same? I use the default kernel that comes with it. Maybe because it has the new version of gapps, coz I saw that happen in SS4.7.

I have found that UD8 is better for battery on my phone than 7... im using Sapphire Kernel 125X1200 Low Voltage.. setcpu profiles 125 min 550 max and the phone is still extremely Snappy. releases:sapphire-1.0.0 [CVPCS Sapphire Wiki]

I am finding the same thing. I am running the exact same set up on 8 as 7, and even had UD 7 updated with the most recent gapps. Battery life is definetly poorer. I think I may revert back to 7 because the battery life and the no bluetooth dialing is deal breaker for me. Am I the only one having BT dialing issues?

Settings are in the UD Settings for that. You have to set it up.

Here is a fix that Blackdroid made for the bluetooth dialing problem. Rename to update.zip and install in recovery. This should allow you to use voice dialing with bluetooth.

The font that comes with UD8 is too thin and light for me too. I just changed to a different font in UD settings...and rebooted to make it take effect.

this rom is the shizzznitttt....my phone loves blackdroids roms....its like their soul mates. Ive been trying alot of diff roms since froyo and this is by far the best for me.

such a kickass rom (although i only just installed it today..) so many options for customization yet still stable for me. haven't had a force close yet. it's nice and snappy for me too. that was my main issue with cm6.. it was never as fast as the other roms i flashed. i had good luck with lithium mod and lfy1.4 but never found anything else that i really liked.. UNTIL NOW!

still gotta wait and see about battery life, but so far me/my droid are in love with this rom!

Props to you guys for Ultimate Droid and to ChevyNo1 for the kernel.

Even running at Min/Max 1.25 GHz using SetCPU the phone is rock solid, smooth, and really fast. Did I mention cool? Only 27 degrees Celsius at idle.
