Ultimate Droid Froyo eXtreme 8.0.0 - Droid

hey guys I'd thought I'd try a different kernel other than Chevy's

cvpcs kernels....getting almost 1800 quadrant scores running 1250 ulv .. Chevy scores were in the 1500's

I'm running rather warm with Chevy's ulv 1.25? How does this one look? UD work best with ultra low, low, or med voltage?

Question for anyone: How can I get the stock kernel back on UD 8? Or is there a specific one that BD uses?

^^ I'd like to know also..

If you want the stock kernel then I would just flash UD 8.0.0 without a wipe. That should effectively replace your kernel and keep your settings. If you have a theme you'll have to flash that again of course.

can do that or in ud 8 zip delete the system folder, leave the meta and boot img and just flash that.

or take a chevy or cvpcs kernel zip and replace there boot.img with the one from ud 8.

that's a question I asked at the begining of the thread. I'm running a Chevy 1.1 lv. It only runs hot with extinsive Web /video use. (110+deg)
I tried using a 1.25 lv and got a continuous forceclose/bootloop.

Only issue I'm having is with extensive web use, it will just FC everytime. &ust installed 928droid Black Glass theme and loving it so far!

Mine is the same way after I flashed to clockwork. I used sprecovery for the rom, clockwork for the watermarkd theme. Im guessing when in sprecovery you have the option to flash the other and not the other way. Rom Manager will do the trick i guess.

Flashed this lastnight and dare I say the best overall U/I Android experience yet, I haven't been this impressed with a release since going from unrooted 2.0.1 to AdamZ SG 5.1 back in January

Even without tweaking the DSP the audio quality has improved tremendously, the fonts, the curved wheel, the color tweaks, the built in scripts, speed, smooth interface, and this is the most space I have ever had free on my device, my data/apps that used to be at 126mb are down to 86mb

I made a few .png changes in keeping with my style but not many, everything just made sense, the only thing, as I posted yesterday (it probably got lost in the thread) I did find that the stat_sys_data_out_3g.png made it unthemed as opposed to the other images that go along with it, so as your signal changes you intermittently get this bland 3G Icon

BD definitely good to have you back, and awesome ROM

UGGGG!!!!!

Thought I was being smart...backed up my current setup in SPR and was about to back up a second copy in Clockwork using ROM Manager. Walked away for a few mins while backing up. Came back to the phone off...and unable to turn back on. So I did a battery pull and booted and while it started back up was very sluggish and having force closes. I open ROM manager and try to reload SPR so I can restore my good backup...and get another force close. Run fix permission (via UD settings) and reboot. I try to reinstall Clockwork and another force close. This time I hit wait and it says it flashed successfully...but that was a lie. ROM Manager seems to have screwed up my recovery and is unable to fix.

Is there an easy way to restore SPR? Would connecting using ADB and reflashing SPR work? or is there something else going on here that is preventing me access to change the file?

SWEET...

DMUdater12 fixed me up....restoring SPR back up. No more being lazy and relying on CMRom Manager for me.
