I've been running UD8 since it's release with only a few little issues that I easily worked out. Yesterday I downloaded these live wallpapers, Droid 2: R2D2 Special Edition Live Wallpapers: All Phones ,my problem is that they keep force closing. Out curoiosity I did a nandroid restore of the deodexed frg22d rom I was previously using and the wallpapers work perfectly on it. So what could be causing UD8 and these wallpapers to not get along? Any help would be greatly apprecuiated.

So far so good! I have had only one issue and that was when I tried switching the phone app inside modified Apps from Cytown to Stock and vice versa, I get a FC every time. I am not very fond of the phone app on this one so I wanted to change it to something with a little bigger buttons and more color, etc. any ideas??

Thanks. I tried rebooting but no change and like I mentioned it keeps force closing during the install of both phone apps. Any other suggestions? Loving everything else especially the speeeeed!!

ita not under ud settings....when you hit the menu button there will be 4 boxes that come up one of them will be wallpaper ....hit that one UD8

Not sure if this has been addressed yet but I'm having force close issues and my native browser is all but useless. Anyone else having issues with this or anyone have any ideas on how to deal with this? I love this rom other than that and I want to continue to use it but if I can't get this resolved I may have to switch back to my old rom.

how many times did you wipe each one?
Did you try to restore once up and running with Titanium or anything?

Used Clockwork...wiped data...didnt wipe cache...wiped data once...and no...please help i really love this theme...also do i need to be running the stock Ultimate droid rom first?

just traded my droid 2 for the fascinate. its been rooted. no recovery yet.
i hope BD will also get UD on the fascinate.

OK.. It is recommended to use SPRecovery to install this ROM. That being said, I used CW as well and had some issues to work out.

If you don't mind starting clean (and doing it the recommended way), rename the UD zip file to "update" (will be a zip file). Then switch over to SPRecovery (I use ROM manager to switch back and forth and when I switch I will select the recovery 3 times. So, in essence I am flashing over to SP from CW once, then flashing from SP to SP twice. Just what I do, not required)

Once over on SPR, boot into recovery. wipe data 3 times (again, just what I do). Then select "allow update.zip" then install update.zip

It should install UD again and bring you back up and running.


As a sidenote, I wipe the cache 3 times as well but we all know what that means we have to do once we get up and running.

NOW.. if you want to just try a quick fix, look at my previous post about fixing permissions.

breakfastclubdc... should be noted here that UD isn't a theme, it's a ROM. You can change the ROM's look with a theme if you wish however.

Im gonna try. I've been switching kernels like regularly but the best one I found so far was cvpcs's 125-1000 lv. It gave me 12 hrs usage(super heavy texting, little web, 2 phone calls) and then it shut off.

Let me know how the movie goes. lolz!

Have you compared cvpcs's 125/1000 lv to chevy's 250/1250 ulv? I'd be curious to see the performance differences.
