Flash SPR a few times using rom manager then reboot phone using power >reboot > recovery. Hope that helps.

It sounds like you are trying to boot into recovery from within the ROM Manager app. No? If so you can't do it that way as far as I know. If that is the case, will it let you do it manually by holding down x while powering up?

Well for one thing RM only works with CW Recovery.

Try flashing CW and SP back and forth a few times then try booting into recovery.

1) in rom manager, hit your menu button and clear download cache.
2) install alternate recovery (sprecovery) .
3) do step 2 again.

This is the process I have to go through every time and I never use rom manager to install my rom.
If this does not work I have even tried the erase recovery option under settings. Let me know.

gotta run for now.will give it a shot and post what happens.i have never used RM to flash a rom.but i used the option from older ud versions to go back and forth between the 2 recoveries.but when ud8 came out i was stuck on CW so i had to do something to get back to sp.i liked cw because it stopped the ota update from comeing thru over and over.

thanks jackstraw that worked.i wiped and reflashed the ROM and have had no FC issues since.so hopefully this fixed it.you guys are the best

can someone please explain all the video settings in the "custom settings" please.

i have already went in with root explorer and changed the two settings from 3000000 to 8000000 and the other one from 25 to 30 fps, let me know if i need to change back to stock..when i play videos back it skips several times for a minute or two video

Perhaps the first time I asked the question it wasn't understood properly so I'll try again. Whose kernel is this? Is it a UD kernel? Obviously it's not chevy and I don't recognize 2.6.32.9-g013d848 as anything I've used before

Love this ROM - but, haven't been able to get SlingPlayer working with it. It hangs when launching. Then eventually FCs. Only thing holding me back!

Its the kernel that came with the froyo rom......I hope that helps you..it its modified a little bit by black droid
