I could not agree more. I have tried cyanogenmod 6.0.0, lfy 1.6, saphire 1.1.1, bb (forget version but was newest at the time).

And you guys have no issues with the camera or video ???

as I said somewhere else... nope. Just tested and it works just like it should.

I took 40 pics during the day yesterday with zero issues

night pics don't come out at all

Well its been about a week since I put UD8 on my Droid and I have to say it is the best ron I have used to date. Runs almost flawlessly..I have minor screen redraws every once in a while and I usually reboot the phone once a day when things slow down...but that is usually I'm the morning so its no big deal.

I recently started having redraws myself and here's how i fixed it:

In sprecovery make a backup of DATA only. Back out to the main menu. Wipe data and clear cache at least 3 times (yes I know some don't think this is needed but I beg to differ). Restore your newly created DATA only backup. My redraws stopped. Something must be building up in the cache that slows the whole system. [FONT=&quot] [/FONT]

what would happen if you wipe the cache a few times and reboot?

Using clockwork recovery, if you reboot into recovery, choose "advanced" and then choose "clear dalvik cache" the phone becomes much more responsive and the re-draws stop.

I haven't used sprecovery in months so I'm not sure if there is an option for that, but maybe someone that uses it can check it out.

I just put this Rom in last night...it's very nice and has many of the features I like! Many thanks!! I haven't had the time to look for weak spots yet, but I have noticed a higher throughput with my 3g.

How to install

Hey guys how do you install these roms and how long does the installation process take (estimate) because when i do a nandroid restore it give me the status code 25 and i'm pretty sure i downloaded the same file as everyone else please help thanks in advance guys

You don't nandroid restore the file, you rename the zip file to: update.zip and chose to allow update installation and then install update.zip

Welcome back BB!! After Ult went away and had to use another rom for froyo and all ended getting bored with the phone very happy you're back and more happy that I have Ult on my baby again thanks for everything you put in this I've only touched the surface of what all can be tweaked, BTW had some serious issues with it after the first day or 2 but simple changing kernals has made it run better than ever

lol.. just did it.. immediately got a force close from android system and got a long redraw... running fix permissions now and will keep an update if its better or worse

You need to root the phone before you can do anything else. Do a search for the user MotoCache1. He has a How-To guide for rooting 2.2 Froyo.

what is the carry over bug? I have a static issue.. when i switch back to another rom.. it stops.. it's something with UD8.. I love the rom... but this static in my sounds.. drives me nutso.. even when i turn the volume off.. it still makes a noise..

is there a setting that will stop the main screen from rotating like the stock froyo. but i want it to still rotate when I'm texting without the keyboard?
