OK im a super newbie....how the heck do I get this to work? after i download then what? Yes im rooted and nothing more!

It's older but, it should still be the same procedure just, with UD8.0 instead of something else.

UD is OC to 800 at its stock setup

P3Droid Kernels

P3 Kernels seem to be the most stable of each of the different ones i have tried, BUT all OC kernels bring out some of the flaws in the D1 and can make somethings FC or random lock up and reboot

for me not many FC but usely when im doing alot for task cause the lock ups & reboot

Hmm if you did the easy root u should have installed SPRecovrey & to install the easy root .zip u had to rename it to update

SO if you want the UD8;

1. DL the current UDX8
2. Rename it to update
3. Place it on you sd card
4. reboot into SPRecovrey
5. Do a FULL backup
6. Allow for the update
7. start the update if all goes well it should say done or something like that
8. restart the phone and give it time to boot up all the way

if you get stuck on the M or bootloader power off or pull batt retry steps 1-8 but before you install Factory Clear & wipe cache both three times, i tell you to try it without a wipe first but it comes with a couple of IF's

If you are coming from another Rom it may cause issues with in the new program

If you are coming from 2.1 and not OTA 2.2 you MUST wipe before loading a 2.2 Rom

and dont forget the themes installed the same way

O and dont use RM with UD it doesn't work well together

UD8 Quick Settings?

Hello,

I seem to be missing the flash recovery settings in the quick menu I also noticed that my wifes phone also doesn't have this setting, Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. I don't have to have Clockwork just wondering why these settings seem to be gone for me.

The kernel I have is 2.6.32.9_slayher

When i move the both dials all the way on set CPU to the right it says 700mhz max 528 min. But i have the 1.1 ghz overclock kernell so i am confused.

Any assistance would be great thanks.

You did remember to Auto Detect speeds rather than selecting Droid as the device right?

as i know it yes the problem is when u try to flash alt rec threw Rom Manager it stops working but if you have a working recovery then it should work just fine. Its not Clockwork thats the issue its Rom Mgr and UD that are not playing nice.

when you say "it stops working" are you referring to the rom or recovery?

the recovery it fails to load, times out then boot back into the rom. my feelings are don't use RM to Flash recovery i haven't put it back on after re-flashing.

oh okay. Yeah I've had that problem before with BB.4. So should I just flash SPR an then load this rom?
