Ultimate Droid Froyo eXtreme 8.0.0 - Droid

i like sp over clock but thats my opinion i got stuck and had to use RSD to add back SP because of this issue so if you get stuck or something else happens that was the only way i found to get the SP back.

Okay, I think I'll go back to SP. Now once I reflash SP, how do I make a backup. I haven't used SP in awhile and I forget how to make back ups in SP. thanks for the help

EDIT: I flashed SPR from RM and when I tried to boot into recovery, it just stayed at the M symbol. I might not be able to get back into SPR.

having trouble syncing my gmail...go to add account but screen stays black

nevermind got it...few moments to think things over and it works!

I think you want to make is a nandroid backup right???
Power off, then power back up holding the X key on the keyboard, hold the x key until you get into SPRecovery then just do a full backup
Navigate(to full nandroid backup) with the volume button, then navigate into each box that is not checked and check it using the camera button, navigate back to the 'name backup' hit the camera button and slide out your keyboard and name your backup. When your finished with the naming hit enter key on your keyboard and the SPRecovery screen returns. Then just navigate to backup(volume) the hit the camera button.
WALLA !!!! YOU JUST BACKED IT UP. any other question or if you want to see a video, just do a google search and I'm sure you will find some.....Cheers

all you need is to flash the recovery so unless u want to be back to stock use RSD to make SPR work again.

SO i see my warnings helped only to get you into trouble o well i guess the best learning tool is experience:rofl2:

Dude you guys have every Smile except the one bashing his head into a bloody pool :)

Before you do the rooting and unrooting, try just flashing SP Recovery 3 0r 4 times in a row from inside ROM Manager. Flash it.. it's says done.. flash it again.. it says done.. flash it again...it says done. Then try and reboot into SPR.

Thats my biggest gripe about RM. I flashed SPR way back when, and never have had to do anything with it. Like the Showtime Rotisserie (TM), you just "Set it, and forget it!"

and if that dosent work the RSD lite will work you also dont have to go back to stock or loose root when you only flash a recovery threw RSD lite it just re-adds it back to the phone and i have had it affect the rom yet

I flashed UD8.0 with clockwork and everything is working just fine. So about not being able to boot into SPR, I'm not sure if its that big of a deal.

Is a wipe needed coming from bb.04? I ask because I didn't wipe before coming from frg01b to bb.04 and absolutely nothing went wrong. I just recently switched to ud extreme because of hearing great things and its just not running smooth. I'm not real tech savvy but I know what I'm doing for the most part. Any help is much appreciated, thank you!

yxant.. yes. wipe the phone 1st. You probably have remnants of bb 0.4 still on the phone messing with UD 8.0

Xkape, thanks a lot I'm going to try that now, I just don't want to lose anything because I like the way everything is, and oh I donated to titanium but I heard it doesn't backup/restore everything? Don't know if that's true or not. Oh well, thanks again gonna give it a try here soon!

how do u install this rom?
i am rooted android 2.2 frg22d
SPRecovery
and using a PC if any of that matters
i am kinda new at all this so any details would be of great help

Titanium does work but I don't think you can restore anything more than the backed up apps themselves (the free ones the market doesn't restore). If you just lost or managed to break UD 8 and then reinstalled UD 8 you could cause.. same ROM.
