The thing that bothers me about their unlimited plans is that you cannot get your corporate discounts with them. That makes it so that it's not worth it to switch because it would end up costing me about 30 bucks a month more. If it was only 10-15 more like it would be if I didn't lose the discount, it would be worth it to me.

I'm on the individual 900 min plan + the 30 dollar data package. 110 a month plus taxes. No savings for me. :frown:

Well for 10 bucks you can get unlimited everything. That's a good deal to a lot of people.

No savings for me either. I've got:
3 lines with 2100=$120 (100+10+10)
250 texts on one line=$5
1500 texts on one line=$15
Data on one line=$30
Mobile broadband with 250mb=$40
Total=$210

Looks like if I changed to the new, comparable plan, I'd have 2000 minutes paying $220. So, $10 more per month gives me 100 less minutes but unlimited texts. Sorry, Verizon, I don't use more than 1750 texts per month.

The new plan pricing would actually cost me $9 more/month to switch.
I'm paying $90 for 700 shared & unlimited text on a 2 line family plan. New price is $99.

The price for the 700 min plan did not change. The price you are seeing on the site stating $99 is for the first two lines exactly what you are paying now.

I was able to work it out to save me some money with the new plans..I didn't think I could save more than 10.00 a month, but I went through the process with unlimited talk for 69.99 and then had the option for a text plan, I am not a heavy texter, so I chose 250 for 5.00 + data =104.00 +taxes. It saved me about 25.00 a month over the 1350 minute plan.

This is 100% true. If you are receiving a discount on your line through your company, or a government employee, your discount will not move to the unlimited plan. It is considered a promotional plan and discounts do not apply to promotional plans.

Most people are seeing an average decrease in bill by $10 - $20 dollars per month. Glad you were able to save some $$$$.

For whatever reason I was on the 1400 minute a month plan for the wife and I. Downgraded that to the 700 minute plan.

I might have had a shady or incompetent VZW person as I had a $10 data thing on my wife's line supposedly for picture messaging.

So with my old plan discounts still taking effect I went from 161 a month down to 113. WOO HOO

Does your wife have data on her phone? I have the same (700 min) plan as you... but also both my line and my girlfriend's have the $10 (250) text plan added.... I'm at ~$180 a month. (GF has data on hers too.)

My wife no longer has data included on her phone as she has a work bberry that she uses to look stuff up online with when needed.

With the unlimited plan you get the text included for both lines so you would not have to worry about that extra $10 anymore...

So I have everything for my Droid and she has talk and messenging on her phone.

i need to switch over to the new 450 minute plan with unlimited text and data for 69.99 from my current more expensive 450 minute pda plus unlimited text plan. i tried doing it from my phone and i wasnt getting anywhere, and the site is down. i'll try again tomorrow.

this is what i want, but now they have me on their quad play plan, i have cable, phone, wireless phone, and internet... i wonder if i can get my bill down a little lower
