I don't don't know how other people do it, but for me I just don't see how it is possible to use 4g and use less that 20 gigs a month.. 10 if I used my phone like 3 days a month. 4g sucks down data like it sucks down battery. I don't know how anyone could stay under 10 gigs let alone 4 or 5

I'd like to welcome you to the 20th century. Here, we have this thing-a-ma-whatsit called a Wi-Fi Hotspot. The way it works is when you need data but don't want to burn your plan, you connect to it and like magic, you can do whatever you want.
Back on a serious track...I don't play with my phone constantly. I'm at work, focused on my job, for basically 12 hours a day, 5 days a week and some weekends. My phone is used to occasionally check email, and as I drive home, listen to music or get directions to some store or something. That's it. On the weekends if I am at home (which I usually am), I'm on my home wireless which is 50Mbps/5Mbps, so it blows past 4G anyway. For any serious searching or streaming, I'm using a computer for the larger screen that it offers.
People who burn more than 5GB a month ON THEIR PHONE are doing something wrong. I'm sorry.
That said...I do not support this change by Verizon simply because the CFO himself basically admitted they're doing it for greed and profit, not because of any bandwidth limitation or anything like that, but just because they want more money out of people. My question is why they don't charge for other services and get smarter about how they charge?
Stop charging for Visual Voicemail, offer it free when you take advantage of a higher rate plan than the base $39.99 plan.
Give people the choice of a metered plan that has a fixed minimum and maximum allowance per month. So you charge $5/GB, minimum 2GB charged per month, for a 10GB plan. $3/GB, minimum 5GB charged per month, for a 20GB plan. $2/GB, minimum 20GB charged, for a 50GB plan. You pay for what you use, but you cannot go over whatever your selected maximum is. Then the hogs can't go over 50GB (which I SERIOUSLY cannot fathom from a phone) and the grandmas of the world have a neat and tidy $10/month bill for data.
