[Updated] Verizon To Officially Reveal Tiered Data Plans July 7th; Plans Leaked Below

Well....I just checked my data use this month...

I'm sitting at 2.8GB.. My kids and their mother must have been using Youtube on it alot. I did use Netflix for about an hour or 2 total in the past few days. My kids mother has been using the web on it. The biggest amounts were the days I didnt use Youtube.

Damn...thank God I have unlimited....for now...

I meant to say the biggest days is the days I didnt use Netflix on it. They must have used Youtube more than I used Netflix...

I understand your confusion. You're the guy who thinks they should charge $5/GB. Analogies may not be your thing.

Yes I am. And flat out ignorant analogies are not my thing. At least try and keep on topic and not yell out the most off the wall comment because you think its funny.

Sir, you clearly did not understand the analogy and labeled it stupid. I called you out for that. No need to be upset because you couldn't understand the point being made...

Your analogy had to do with flat out stealing. Tethering is not stealing. You're using the exact same data from the phone.

Yes the economy is down, but during that time smart phone usage went up. If I was a carrier I would cash in now as well because if this is where we at with a down economy then what can we expect when the economy recovers...more smart phone users consuming more data making us more money to improve the towers, pay our employees, make stockholders happy, and get executives bonuses.

So how much is enough?

Again...you didn't comprehend the point being made. Squire did, and he was able to deduce that I was assuming in my analogy that I consider tethering to be stealing. It's not rocket science.

That might be true, that we're all idiots for even agreeing to them in the first place. But I know one thing, if I truly felt like I was being ripped off, I would not be paying them over and over and over again every month when all I have to do is pay $325 and be done with them for good.

We're all idiots, some of us are more idiotic then others when they complain and keep paying though.

Because at this moment I am not getting ripped off. I am merely voicing my opinion on their plans to start ripping others off, which may or may not impact me at some point.

Oh ok, I'll be honest, I thought you were saying you were getting ripped off now too. If not, that's cool. And I believe you when you say you'll leave if you feel that you are. I'm sure you will. Other people on here? Not so much. Those are just whiners.

This is were VZW will get everyone.

"As rumored yesterday, all customers grandfathered into the unlimited monthly data will be allowed to keep it, even when upgrading to new phones."

Yes, you will be able to keep the unlimited data plan as long as you are on 3G, 2 years from now. If you want 4G you will have to get tier pricing or pay more if they allow the unlimited. Very slick.

When are we going to end this argument over whether or not tethering is stealing? It's getting OLD! Can't we all just get along and agree to disagree? Sheesh!

Oh, no, not at all. I have my $29 unlimited plan as does my girlfriend on her TBolt. Of course we live in a 4G area but she cannot use it because the 4G radio kills her 2600mAh battery in less than 4 hours when she isn't even using the phone, but that's another topic. LOL

This is more of me voicing my displeasure at the direction they are headed.

When for years you tout unlimited data and urge people to splurge on your latest and greated 4G devices and fill their heads with all the cool stuff they can do, and then complain that people are actually using them as prescribed and decide to triple the charges, it just seems cheezy to me.
