Verizon announces HTC Thunderbolt with March 17th release date

If thundebolt users root, we would using the wireless tether app that's on the market, not the one that htc and verizon offers

Not that I would ever go over the 2gb limit, I'm just curious.. I bought my girlfriend an ipod touch last christmas so I frequently wifi tether when I'm with her but I know I've never surpassed 2gb or came close to that

Unless they have a mobile hotspot hack like on the DX, some people need the infastructure broadcast for devices that don't play friendly with ad-hoc.

You'd be able to bluetooth tether it then, I would imagine. That's how some of use have been able to tether our Xooms to the OG Droid.

Anybody hear of an extended battery?

Seidio 1600 mAh (looks like it fits standard back)
Seidio 2750 mAh (comes with a different back)

After seeing this BatteryBoss Calls Out False Capacity Claims! I have decided to just go with stock or stock extended, the actual MAH on the seidio and Gorilla batteries as well as other smaller companies just seem to round up a thousand or so.

I wouldnt mind a bump on the back, and doubling my battery size IF it doubles my battery life, but sadly, it doesnt seem to.

Thanks for posting because I just bought a seido, I may have to wait for an extended oem battery.

Man, I got a couple more weeks before I can avoid the $20 upgrade charge for upgrading before my actual 20 months are up. I must decide if I'm going to wait until Arpil 3 or not. What do you guys think?

Folders at last

I noticed in the Thunderbolt manual that the new Sense allows you to create folders on the home screens. This is something I thought Android really needed, glad to see it.

Since it's now pretty much said (from what I've read today and yesterday) that LTE will be $30 a month. But I got a question, is this for 4G ONLY or is it for both 4G and 3G?

Doh, nevermind. I guess I should have looked at my homescreen options a little more. I didn't realize this already existed.

They can't do just 4G as it's not in every market yet. So you'll get 4G and 3G for $29.99 a month.

Is it going to be permanent? Or I guess just for now?
That is the million dollar question. For right now it's unlimited, VZW said they are going to tiers eventually but when that happens is unknown.

this phone will be amazing once it's released... 4.3 screen, ffc, new sense data and voice at the same time... all great features.

won't the data and voice be available at the same time on 3g?

True, i was thinking along the lines of a Nook color, which is in its infancy as far as bluetooth development (i believe they have it working on CM7 but its range is limited to 13")

Not a problem, stumbled across it by accident the other day, was looking to purchase a seidio myself.
