verizon just sent me an update to 5.9.901

Well I don't want to get into a whole thing, but not sure I want to return a rooted device running a leaked OTA, so if this works I will be good, if it doesn't then maybe I might look at the replacement device.

Not making this a thing, but use this to restore your bionic to .886 and remove root:

Option #4 will restore your bionic only, no root. After that, the only thing that remains of the 893 builds is the radio and kernel. Two things that VZW are most likely not going to catch, and if they do, just play dumb because all remaining traces of root are gone.

NATEOHIO & Character zero..Forgive my ignorance....are you on a right topic?

Yes we are on the right topic, it was just a momentary lapse in forum etiquette!!!!!! Anyways, back on topic, for those of you that received this update, how is the camera, data, headphone whine, etc...?

It is also important to note that you must be rooted to have access to the /cache directory with a root enabled file explorer to pull the update and copy it for examination and testing.

We do? Ah, crap. That would explain why a user we have looking for it can't find it. Son of a...

Well, I don't think they're rooted. And we really can't ask someone to root their phone so we can pull an update. That's simply not right. So, even though they're at a point where they could pull the update, it doesn't look like they can. They don't see it in their cache dir so it's unlikely.

Don't ya worry,i'll try this one tom...like what i've said in my previous post i have all the requirements....gtg man.Have a nice hunt!!

Any rooting procedure would require rebooting the device, which would erase it from /cache anyway, so it must be a user who is already rooted that receives the update and is sharp enough to go and grab it immediately and then either flash the update or wait for feedback from devs and other users.

Well, when I get my replacement tomorrow, I will immediately forever root and then update to 5.893. After that, if i can pull this build I'll go ahead and get it from the cache. Obviously, this is all dependent on if I can actually pull it or not.
