I believe the version in the name of the update is the version you are updating from, not to.

Thanks downloading it now. I will take a look and see what the updater-script asserts.

Looked at the updater script, looks at system of course and webtop, also at boot but I believe that 5.7.893 and 5.5.893 had the same kernels so this might just work. Need a stock 5.5.893 system download though.

I extracted the contents and looked at the metadata and it shows Blur_Version.5.9.901.XT875.Verizon.en.US. I then put it on the SD card went into recovery and tried to flash it myself, and it failed on the verify, I'm running the leaked 5.7.893

Not necessarily, like I said I think 5.5.893 and 5.7.893 share the same kernel and webtop, so all that is needed is a system zip to flash and I think it could work. Radio is not checked I don't think.

Stock recovery or CWM? You would need to be in stock recovery and have the 5.5.893 system, but even with the 5.7.893 system it should at least start the system verify before aborting.

Yeah so the zip was verified now it is going through the check of the 5.5.893 system, BTW where did you get the 5.5.893 system zip? Or was it a nandroid backup?

Nandroid. Someone posted it a while back. Should be good enough to get me through the update, no? I'll probably lose root doing this though.
