I can verify that none of the custom ROMs at this point (Kin3tx, Liberty, Eclipse) will work
if you have taken and installed the 5.9.901 update you must stay with it.
granted you have root access and still mess with things (removing or renaming bloatware and etc)
but beyond that, don't bork your phone like I did
I factory reset after I did the manual 901 update. I forgot to unfreeze bloatware and it all got erased. I spent part of the day pushing bloat system apks back into system/apps and changing permissions with root explorer. Just a warning, unfreeze bloat before factory reset.
So after reading all this its back to the same ole waiting game with the Bionic. I put 5.7.893 on because of how bad the data was, now still waiting for the update that was going to fix all the bugs this phone has had from day one on top of my screw up of installing the leak. 3+ months of this BS come on Moto fix this already.
I just finished installing the 901 update. As I stated earlier, I was told that I should install the 901 update by VZWSupport. I'll let you know how things go. Rebooting now. Fingers Crossed.

Agreed. It's potential is being strangled by Moto and VZW inaction AND the damned locked bootloader. This thing would sing IF they just worked with the developers' community. So much potential, so little cooperation.
If your Bionic is working fine I would just wait. Moto forum manager Matt said that this update was pushed to a few people by accident and that everyone should receive an update within 2-3 weeks when testing is done.
I guess thats all we can do is wait. Half the time I have no data connection and it is frustrating. The last update obviously was ng. Thanks for the reply.
There were links posted somewhere that linked to the zip file for the .901 OTA. If you can find them, consider whether or not you want to flash the OTA. Not suggesting that you do so, but just making you aware of the potential. Waiting for Moto and VZW is very difficult.
I have been battling with them for the past week about my data issues. I received the update over the air but did not install it until just now. I had the conversation with VZWsupport earlier today.
