verizon just sent me an update to 5.9.901

Don't wanna jump off topic, but kind related. I got a "update" last week as well. But its weird, because It said it was a system update. Mind you I have very basic apps on my phone nothing extravagent.. but yet I checked my system version is 5.5.893.xt875. Not noticing anything diffrent at all

Definite improvement thus far with the .901 update. I was previously on .893 and had more times than not looked down at my phone with no 3G or 4G icon only bars. Since the update to .901 I have not experienced one data connection drop in the past 24 hours and going from wifi to 3G/4G has been seamless. Hoping the improvements continue.

I put three apps on the sdcard and have powered off and on multiple including a complete battery drain. The three apps are still there. Heading into NYC right now. Will be testing out 4G most of the day.

Agreed. As long as we can get back to the regular upgrade path, it'll be good enough. Even if it's a difficult or PITA process. As long as it works, we'd only have to do it once.

Good move. He is more likely to answer that way actually. Do it publicly and he might view it as an attack. That place drives me crazy, there are certainly some PO'd owners in there and they are getting a little hot but there are also a few Moto apologists that have a holier than thou attitudes and belittle the upset bionic owners. And in the meantime as you said Moto provides zero info and help.

Very likely. No, I don't know how it leaked. Could have been some VZW employee for all we know. As long as it works on any previous version to get back to the upgrade path, I'd take it. I suspect, however, that we're a LONG ways away from anything like that. Mainly because they're still releasing updates. Once they finalize testing and truly release 901 or whatever the next version will end up being, then maybe some time after that we'll see an FXZ or full update released. That'll be pushing aweful close to my self-imposed February deadline.

My sentiments exactly!!!! I would love to find his arrogant, condescending a** in a dark alley somewhere. He reminds me of the EXACT personality the iPhone is marketed towards.
