I used to have the env2 and just switched to the Droid. I am having issues linking my Cardo Scala bluetooth headset ( motorcycle use) to the Droid. It seems to link but wont voice dial like my old phone did. Am I doing something wrong, or is this not available with the Droid. If not, I will fire up the old phone since I spend many hours riding and really need this feature. Thanks, Dave

At the moment, this is sort of a known issue as Voice Dialing is handled a little differently. People are looking into or alternatives.

All I want to no is when are we going to get animations in the browser???? Will it come when we get flash? Cause on my old bb storm I could bookmark a website with a animated radar and it would animate. I no that there are apps for animated radars. .you think if a POS bb storm could it then why can't the Droid????

Viper, thanks for all the helpful answers. Most of my answers are found just by reading through the posts. Just one question I have is, in the battery usage screen under "cell standby" there is also "time without signal". What does this percentage refer to? It varies greatly but I am never without service. Sometimes it say 80-90% and I cant figure out why because I am always in the same area.

not sure if this has been addressed in this thread. how can you save an mp3 file that has been sent to you via email or text? I've tried sending myself one so I can save it as a ringtone and haven't had any luck.

tnx.

Flash is an Adobe product. Whether or not Adobe will release an Android based Flash free version (As I do recall, there is an PAID Flash app for Android in market) will be your true issue.

Are you sending the MP3 to yourself through G-mail... I believe you should be able to save it that way.

However, it would be easier and faster if you use the USB cable to copy the MP3 from your computer to your Droid's SD Card, as most mail systems kind of hate you sending MP3s or other large files over the e-mail system.

tnx for the answer. I have added mp3s via the usb cable. 1 for a ringtone and another as a notification tone (tiger woods' mom's "what happened" sound bite. pretty funny). though I didn't try using gmail, only hotmail. I just figured it'd be easier/quicker to "save as", but via usb is fine I guess.

Hey Viper! Sorry if these are repeated questions, I didn't see it in your FAQ and the thread is up to 24 pages...

1) Any word on the issue with the home screen not rotating except when the physical keyboard is pulled out?
2) After the 2.0.1 update, I've started getting notices that I have new email literally every time it successfully connects to my Yahoo POP account, there hasn't been a new email since early yesterday...
3) Also had a problem with my Incoming sound "oscillating" after 2.0.1. It would sound fine for 20 or 30 seconds, then sound really mechanical, like there was no bandwidth, for about a second, then cut out completely for a second or less, then back to normal again. This continues over the course of the call. I just tried the sound quality improvement listed in the FAQ but haven't tested it yet.

So far I'm loving the Droid, just a few annoyances here and there. Pretty much everything has been the type of bugs I expect to see in a new product and know will be dealt with.

Not sure if it helps, or makes sense, but I was sent an audio file via text. The only way I found to save it was to "slide" your finger over the icon that it shows as (that little play button). For me it brings up an option to save as well as a few others. Hope it helps.

Hoping this can be explained. I bought my Droid on Nov 6th and I noticed that I had some reception issues in the house, so I went to Verizon and checked out some of the Droids on display and noticed that they had anywhere from 7 to17 dBm better signal (I do realize that the closer to 0 the better the signal). I then exchanged my Droid for a new one and checked the new phone with the display phones and the display phone still had a better signal by 5 to 15 dBm but my issue at home was cleared up so I stopped persuing the it. I have looked at about 10 different Droids and all of them have a better signal reading than mine but I have traveled with my phone and not really experienced any poor performance. The only place that I have noticed a decreased performance is at a known dead spot for Verizon, which is about a mile form my house and with my previous phone (Motorola Krave) it would sometimes carry a call through the spot and the Droid will not and the area of the dead spot has increased with the Droid. Just wondering if I was unlucky and got two weak Droids or if this is some network issue with my account. Thanks

I'm really glad VB is helping out here and I commend the other Droid users for picking up VB's slack when he is away, best Forum I've ever used.:icon_ banana:
