Welcome to the forum longshot... to be honest I haven't tried to sync just my contacts with facebook... I have about 450 contacts I've built over the last 10 years or so via outlook... several pda's and finally now on googles contact list to sync with the droid.
Spent a ton of work getting and maintaining all the nitty gritty details, directions, notes etc of each contact.
I said that to say.. I don't trust syncing my general contact list with facebook as I don't want it tampered with in any way.. and I don't exactly trust their system like I do googles.
I suppose it would be ok as long as the lists remained separate though.... facebook is a good tool to bring long lost friends back together...
Its amazing how involved we get with people just to turn a page in life and they seem to be gone forever.

I have one simple but cant get rid of question.
I got a replacement droid yesterday. and its certified Like-New one.
and heres my question.
I'm in still first 30 day and I got a refurbished one. I expected to get a new one.
and VZ store I went to for exchange, they said that I'll get a new phone from fedex.
also my second phone has some problems and dead pixel and huge gab between battery cover and camera part, its uneven gap.
Anyway, I want a new one cause I paid what people paid and its still in 30 day.
Is that any possible way to get a new one?
My 30 days end 13th Jan.

Hello,
I'm having a little annoyance (really) with my 16gb disk... I do add and remove files a lot to watch on my droid but I'm finding that as I do this, I'm having less and less space available on it. When adding the equally same amount of files back, the disk says it's full... so its sounding like the disk is holding on to files it doesn't need. Normally when something like that occurs you're encouraged to reformat your disk and I was about to until I noticed that some of the market items I purchased have put a folder on the disk. I'm hesitant to copy them off the disk and reformat for fear they won't work as they originally did. Because if they don't I will be forced to purchase these items again.
Now don't laugh because these items are only $2 here or $3 there, but I've since bought quite a bit of market items and the total purchased adds up (I work p/t so I can't play with my money).
I did notice several files have started showing up all named: "20100102055327.dump" about 2k on the disk outside of all folders... can I safely delete these? Maybe those are temp files that need to be removed instead... or...
or bottom line, do I just reformat my sandisk and hope my purchased files can be returned and everything work as it should? or is there another answer altogether?

I'd love to know the date on this myself. I've been holding out on breaking down and trying a home screen app. I wanna know what 2.1 brings first (hopefully more than the three screens)...

2.1 has 5 screens. I'm not positive on everything else the Droid would get but I imagine the same things the nexus has with a Droid flair.
Here is one for you, I can no longer download updates or new apps from the Market place. Is this a Verizon issue? because Google has known about this since March 09 and there is still people posting about it and no resolution in place.
I searched this forum for "Starting Download" and nothing. Some say to factory reset and start phone with a new account, well I for one am not doing that.
Any ideas? have the techs at Verizon been asked about this before?

In need of assistance, my Droid beeps & hangs up on people!
Hey guys, hey Viper I'm hoping one of you can help me. I just purchased my Droid a week ago & was having a blast with it. I had App. Killer on the phone & figured out that it was causing the phone to mute me whenever I was on a call, I could hear the person, but they coud not hear me (this was about 5min. into a call). Once I uninstalled App. Killer the prob. was solved. I was all proud of myself that I had figured it out UNTIL...when in a call (again about 5min. in or so) I hear one short beep & then the phone ends the call. I took it into a Verizon center & the tech there said he'd call Motorola to see if they had any solutions to this. I have 2.0.1. on the phone & it doesn't appear that my sensors are being blocked in any way, seeing as how when I take my face away from the phone it lights up. Would anyone know why this is happening & how to rectify it as my gf & friends are gettin pissed off at me. Someone please help if you can I'd really appreciate it. Thank you in advance.
