Emails missing from some threads in Google

Hi,

I just got a motorola droid yesterday. Today I noticed a problem in gmail. In some of the threads with multiple email messages only the most recent message (usually a reply from me) appears, yet on other threads with more emails I am able to access everyone. Please help me, I don't want to have to return the phone.

Thanks,
Emily

Hey I have a question. I love the Droid but man is the service insanely priced. I come from sprint paying 62.13 for everything plan. I am still within the return period thinking about cancelling the service. If I call in to cancel the acc do you think I can maybe talk them into a discount. I am a college student so every penny counts. Anyway to lower my bill through discou

If you rarely move around too much and stay right in the city, then you have a decision to make.

However if you do any traveling through the country or need your phone to work is spotty areas, the extra money says "you get what you pay for".

Some folks don't need the better verizon coverage, while others can't function without it.

Please Help with my text reminders question!

Hi Viper-
I use Handcent for messaging and it's great. Only problem is that I have turned off text reminders in both Handcent and native Messaging and I keep getting pop-up reminders even hours after I've read the messages. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Hi All: Does anyone have an answer for me? I switched to Chomps yesterday from Handcent and I'm still having the same problem. I want the pop-up msg. screen to come on once with a new message, and then no reminders except the LED flashing. Thanks in advance!

You get what you pay for......I believe it's fair pricing for the what the network brings...

I'll second that. There is a reason that Sprint has to offer their service so cheap. The are, with the exception of T-Mobile (whom I don't really consider a 'big' provider) the worst in terms of total coverage area. Verizon is no more expensive that AT&T (least for the plan/service I have) and their coverage is WAY beyond AT&T in my area (and Sprint has virtually NO coverage in my area). As Windstrin said 'you get what you pay for.' So you'll have to make that call.

WiFi Locking up

Good Morning,

I have a question, twice now when I have had my WiFi selected (WPA) at home the WiFi will lock-up and revert back to the VZ network. When I recycle the phones power, the system will reset back to the WiFi, now my question is a product of the wireless side of the phone or is a issue with the phone that might be taken care of when 2.1 comes out or is the power management app??

BTW, LOVE the Droid:icon_ banana:

A few questions to aid in diagnostics.
1. Are you actively using the wi-fi (i.e. in the middle of d/l or loading something) when this occurs or is it happening when the phone/connection is idled?
2. How long does it stay connected before reverting to VZ?
3. What is your battery charge when this occurs?
4. Any other devices using the wifi network at the time?

1. It almost like it is idle for to long, not in the middle of anything, that i can tell.
2.Not sure of that, so far it seem to be random.
3. Just off the charge this time (100%), was most of the day (60%) for the last time.
4. Yes, for two time it has done this and one time without any computers logged in.

In Handcent, under menu---> settings---> "send sms setting"--->popup settings--->check "Mark read"

Not sure if that will fix your problem... but if Handcent doesn't acknowledge them as read, it would make sense that it thinks it needs to remind you again.

Hrm... well if it's idle for some time it may be cycling it off to conserve battery. When it disconnects after being idle does it show the wi-fi on or off? Can you get it to reset by cycling the wi-fi on/off or do you have to cycle the phones power?

I'll try to get mine to replicate it here in a bit. I've only used wi-fi sparingly (since VZ network is so fast here) and have been cycling it off right when I'm done. I'll leave it on the rest of the day and see what happens.

Bluetooth Issues

I cannot get BT to work properly with my car's (2006 Jag XJ8) built-in BT system. The VZ Droid pairs just fine with car but after is pairs up, every minute or so the connection is broken and then it eventually pairs ups again only to have the connection broken again after a short period. Seems like something is cycling on & off to create this problem.

Love to know if anyone else has experienced the same issue and how they resolved it. Thanks!

Battery life

Seriously what is good life on the battery? If i have more than an hour of talk time on this thing I get about 10hrs before the phone shuts off from a drained battery. That is w/o bluetooth, gps, and wifi, and very little use of any apps. Cant imagine if I want to listen to music at work w/ this device and/or want to browse the web for a bit. Should I take my phone if for a new battery?
