I decided to join in on the fun, it looks like their new strategy is to try and get us to upgrade and exchange it later...

I was granted an eligible upgrade, but I have no proof other than that worker's word. In my Verizon my upgrade date is still 7/13. And yes I'm lookin for the Nexus day 1:hail:

My earlierst upgrade is 6/12 and I talked to a rep yesterday and they said they might not be able to do it since, the phone line that's up for upgrade is my moms line and it's a dumb phone.

Was planning on taking her upgrade.... Guy asked me what phone I wanted to upgrade to and told him Galaxy Nexus and he said he never heard of it. lol

Told him, it will most likely come out next week on the 8th and so he told me he'd give me a call on that day in the late afternoon to see what he can do...

I forgot his name LOL! Not like it would really matter anyway....

Well when the rest of the family upgraded mine got moved to 7/13, since it was my upgrade, but I used the main line in Nov '10.

I didn't weasel my way in or anything. All I said was the rest of the lines got upgraded to the iphones and I wanted a Nexus. "Ok you're set, when it comes out you'll get one at new contract price". Easiest "haggling" I've ever done. My upgrade still says the same on My Verizon app though, so don't know....

Im a dude, no pepper spray for me. not like it fits in my wallet :biggrin: Besides, i got these 12 inch guns of steel :lifting: . lol, i guess thats hardly muscular but i can run. And im not sure how many people want this device, its truly hard to guess. I want a nexus so bad though i think if i was the only one waiting id still be happy. ease my mind to just get it over with right away then i could go to school.

Nothing new here, although this rep was more a fan of the Rezound than the Razr. At first I thought he was dead set on selling me one today, but I think he figured out I was trolling, lol.

Tristan: What I'm not a fan of is the custom skins that HTC and Motorola put on top of android

Tristan: Yeah, their devices seem to be pretty solid


Tristan: However, I've recently heard a lot about a new phone, pure Google android

Tristan: I have, just recently. I much prefer a pure google experience, but can't find anything related to even a pre-order option on the verizon site

Tristan: I suppose they don't give you all much of a heads up as to when new devices will be available?


Tristan: I've seen a couple videos of the rezound, but it's really not that impressive to me


Tristan: don't get me wrong, specs are nice, but I personally think Beats audio is a crock, lol


Dillon: Beats audio isn't what makes that phone that great.


Tristan: Do you know if the rezound will be getting an update to Ice Cream Sandwich in the near future?


Dillon: I feel the user interface is much nicer.


Dillon: It actually will be getting that very shortly!


Tristan: Interesting. I'm really wary of how Sense UI will carry over to Android 4.0, though.


Tristan: I mean, it's already great by itself!

Dillon: HTC usually does really well for themselves.


Dillon: The speculation puts it at "soon" but still nothing official.


Tristan: I've read all kinds of rumors on release dates, but nothing substantial, so I thought I would come straight to the source! :-)


Tristan: I think I may wait it out, that way I can make a good comparison between the Nexus, Razr, and Rezound


Tristan: How's the battery life on the Rezound?


Dillon: Honestly, I'm still more impressed by the Rezound.


Dillon: Almost 10 hours


Tristan: 10 hours based on what kind of usage?


Tristan: moderate?


Dillon: That would be moderate, I would say about 8 hours on above average usage.


Tristan: I assume that includes use of 4G data, which unfortunately isn't available in my area yet, although I do visit 4G areas often


Dillon: So probably a little more battery usage out of the 3G area.


Tristan: Well Dillon, I still think I may wait it out so I can make a more reasonable comparison, but if the Nexus doesn't live up to the hype, I think the rezound might be a better choice over the razr
