Verizon Trollin' aka Waiting on the Nexus

Thats wrong. They work for verizon ,they hire them out. It would make no sense not to collect data from that kinda inquiry. I dont think you have a lot of expierence around how some of the bigger companies operate. they might ignore many people, but they definitely know what people are asking for on their help desks.

I work for a fairly large company=P I actually have some insight into this sort of thing, but I'll unsub', feel free to continue your fun.

So do I, a manufacturing company. We keep detailed logs of every customer service call/complaint/inquiry which are categorized by the nature of the call. This is reviewed internally on a regular basis. It would be foolish for a large company to not track this.

I think what liderc was saying is when you make it blatantly obvious that you're trolling, it defeats the purpose. Everyone is using some "strategy" to make a csr accidentally slip up and tell them something, when the fact is they probably don't know. Why would they? Its fine to ask for information but when people say things like "I don't wear comical glasses so I don't need an iphone" and "do you have news about the galactic ice cream sammich" it doesn't take a genius to figure out that you're trolling. Why not just say "do you have any info on the nexus"? When they review their logs, do you think they're dumb enough to think inquiries like the above were serious? Or that trolling them will make them change their business/marketing plan? I dunno...

Doesn't have anything to do with morality, but it is a complete waste of your time and more importantly their time.

That being said the herman cain question did make me laugh haha

I'm still hopeful the the Nexus LTE that was confirmed by Google and Samsung to be headed to Verizon will in fact come out soon. I have my fingers crossed!

I think showing Vz that we want the nexus is a good thing. A great way of showing something to any company is through their customer service. Regardless of tricking info out of people, its clearly hardly the point. What we are really arguing about here is purpose. it might be trolling for information but nothing is happening for you. But for me it showing Vz that we want the device, through their customer service, and kinda having fun doing it. Any info would be a bonus but IMO getting info is not the goal. And id like to say, the large companies ive been around have a whole area where they are literally taking information from the customer service calls and applying it to the way they conduct their business. They find problems from complaints, see what people want from what people are asking about, they even try to group in the target age of they people doing it. 20 year olds like this phone and such. its a valuable way they get info.... To my knowledge many companies do this. Vz is one im positive of it. You could even ask for it to be forwarded to proper department if you want to be extra sure and they will give you their little "we foward all of our thing here, but ill make extra sure it makes it their"

This is a new amazing 4G device with a 4.3' screen, a 8.0 MP camera with a front facing camera for video chat, 16GB's of internal memory, access to thousands of apps, a full HTML web browser for web and e-mail, video and music streaming, speakerphone, bluetooth, an amazing music player, and it is user friendly.
