yep i hear you on the card..

as for the alltell to vzw.. you dont qualify sorry(the time was not with vzw).. but acceptions can be made depends on the rep/manager..

as for the data packages yes that is what makes them expensive.. and to summarize, you can do a transfer of service to her name (if she does not require a deposit due to credit check.)

THANKS Hector. I'll talk with the local manager... and maybe make a few calls to CS and see what happens.

Other than switching the account to my wife's name (and praying the discount actually applies) or a manager feeling some love, is there anything else you know of? Different plan? Or, some hidden Easter egg in the MyVerizon app that would give me a lil bit of a break? :)

ok, the easiest way to save money with vzw is reviewing your monthly average and adjusting your plan and packages to your needs.. i know i know its not an easter egg.. but if you have a phone that does not use internet block data.. or if one can use wifi.. cut data.. if you use 1500 mins a month why hve more.. people usually over spend with verizon.. " to be on the safe side" you going over once is better then paying more in the long run..

Probably has been asked already, but search isn't coming up with any specific hits....... Any plans to support true hands-free bluetooth vioce dialing on the Droid?
I mean with my State, and most States throughout the US, having laws about hands-free phone use while driving, I can't imagine who made such a terrible and poor decision to not have this function on the Verizon Droid phones!?!?

Any plans to add this Verizon?

hmm.. honestly i would say no.. reason is that would be more of a motorola/droid update and or app... but of course it would have to be somewhat passed through the screeners at verizon (the test guy)..

Well considering that Verizon had disabled Motorola Q9c's GPS abilities, I'd think that they could easily apply a feature that would enable the phone talking to our Bluetooth headsets.... voice is already sent to the Bluetooth via actual calls, so I'm thinking it's not a hardware shortcoming, no?

nope its not hardware.. it would just be in the next update and/or a dev team can make an app lol.. like google talk.. but verizon loves to dummy up their phones!!! or strip them from all the cool features and then say hey we have a new model with this on it..

I have a bill that is overdue since i lost my job for a little bit of time. in the past week ive paid about half of it, and today i get a text saying to please dial PMT to avoid interruption. Given a few weeks, i could easily have it paid off. Do you think if i talked to a rep they would be able to extend it? i mean we all dont have fancy jobs where we can pay it off in one day

How much is the government employee discount on the Incredible if any? Do government employee's get discounts on the data plan also?

Thanks in advance.

yes you guys do.. is it large? hell no lol.. you get it off accessories, and monthly bill.. as for phones its up to the rebate and the sales location.

Thanks. I did exactly this and the guy took one quick glance at it after I explained the problem and immediately started to ask for my information to have a replacement shipped to me.

I had prepared an elaborate story and everything so I can explain and answer any questions they may have had. I'm assuming it was a common problem or something.

I wouldn't say it's all that common, as I've worked with hundreds of these devices, and this is the first I've heard on the issue. If we troubleshoot a phone, can duplicate the issue, your warranty is current, and it's evident there are no signs of physical damage, then generally we try and get you taken care of quickly and efficiently.

question for a VZ rep since I don't have time to make it over to a store, and hate calling customer service lines...

Just bought a Droid off of someone (craigslist). Had insurance on my line for my Eris... does that insurance carry over to the Droid, even though I didn't buy it through VZ/other retailer?

thanks.

nope... its handset specific.. and 10/10 times you can not add insurance to a street purchased handset..

oohhhh yea and dont lie about were you purchased the handset!!! they will pull the handsets history and see that your lieing!! "oh i just bought it" does not work!! haha... also if it has been reported lost or stolen its only good for a paper weight haha.. unless the original owner takes it off the list..
