Let me know if you find out for sure, I'll prolly just end up calling them to make sure anyways... I just want to get the bionic hahaha.... is it possible to use the upgrade for the xoom because I plan on getting that to (valentines day?) So that should be safe if it comes down to that

Any rep would have to be crazy to just look up info for you, but what exactly is your question, maybe someone can help?

Honestly whats with the bashing of me asking for help? What would make a rep crazy to do the job they are paid for? The few reps that are answering on here seem to be more knowledgeable than the ones ive been dealing with, plus I know these guys arnt trying to sell me something just genuinely trying to help (since thats why they started this thread)
I need to know EXACTLY when my early upgrade is, what exactly I am entitled to, how I can go about getting a certain phone I want etc. Questions a person cant answer without looking at my account.
Instead of being an [Mod Edit] about a question I ask you guys could ignore it (since its not directed to you anyway) Or offer a helpful suggestion without being passive aggressive.
Like TP said if we can have respect for everyone asking a question..no matter how stupid, or WHATEVER it seems to us than this thread should be closed...
I was going to reply to MonKENy and basically say the same thing as you did. I was working for VZW in a call center when several employees were shown the door because they looked up an old account of Barack Obama before he was elected. Anyone who opens another person's account has the reps "fingerprint" on it. So, MonKENy, please consider others who could be risking losing their job because you don't want to take ownership of your own account and call or visit your local store on your own. This is part of the joy of owning your cell phone. It needs to be taken through the proper channels.Any rep would have to be crazy to just look up info for you, but what exactly is your question, maybe someone can help?

Okay. I understand you have some specific questions on your account. I will not look up your account information, because I would be putting my job in jeopardy. If somebody else is willing to do that for you, great.
As far as help I can give without seeing your account, you are eligible for an early upgrade exactly 12 months from whenever you got your last upgrade, so long as you are on a single plan 49.99 or higher, or the primary on a family plan. You can get any phone available at the 2 year price plus a $20 early upgrade fee, unless you process the upgrade online in which case the fee is waived.
Nobody is trying to be an ass to you for asking a question, sorry that it came across that way. I was ignoring your question at first, but you kept repeating it, so I replied asking for a little more info on your exact question.
The reason I will not, and I would assume any other reasonable rep would not, look up your information is because I can get in a lot of trouble over it. I hope you understand.

And, if there is a rep out there who feels they are above VZW protocol and offers to look up his account on any DF forum, or offers in the future publicly on DF to open up someone's account will be given some time off. This not allowed, reps know it, and now they've been warned.
If you read my reply "old account" that could be a hint that it wasn't an active account at the time the employees snooped in and looked. I guess you're trying to be funny but I don't understand your humor.I was going to reply to MonKENy and basically say the same thing as you did. Does President Obama have different service now? Lol, is their a presidential carrier? He gets to use any tower, unlimited everything? How amazing would this be.
Ok, I am peeved. My primary line would have been due for my annual upgrade in March. A Verizon rep at my store just told me that since it wasn't due before January 16th, that I would lose it. I could understand them saying no more annual upgrades effective with your next contract...but I was kind of looking forward to it.
So, there is new pricing for single lines, I heard there was going to be changes for family plans too, I was wondering if there is a spreadsheet or something that has all of that info?
so i just upgraded my line on my parents family plan to a smart phone on 12/18/10 with 2 year contract. i understand they are removing the new every 2 thing they had but customers with plans before the cut off date still have 1 more opportunity to use it. so im wondering when i will be able to use the upgrade.
You can use the new every 2 20 months from when you did this upgrade, so 8/18/12... you have to use it within 6 months after becoming eligible or it goes away, so you can use the New every 2 upgrade between 8/18/12 and 2/18/13...

so how much would i have to pay for the upgrade? i was reading the verizon website and it says 50 dollar credit? is that right? so a 600 dollar smart phone is 550? doesnt seem right.
