Is your dash all cracked up yet? Mine is. That is the only complaint that I have with my truck. Other than that it's been the best vehicle I've ever owned.

Happens from the sun. My generation 1 lasted about 10 years, drivers side hump to the windshield. My generation 3, first the vents fall into the ductwork the wherever there is a crease. Generation 4 hasn't happened YET. (GEN1 has a cover on it)

It is behind the instrument cluster, but the previous owner bought a coverlay dash kit for it. Its basically a dash cap that you glue down and it won't crack. You can't really tell that its not stock.

BTW, what do you have? Mines an 01 Sport 4x4 w/ the offroad package. The 4.10's suck on gas mileage, but on the other hand its fun to drive in town. Not so much on the highway though

I have an '01 SLT 4x4. It has the 3.55's but I have a few mods done to it. Some you can see in the pics, like the front end, others you can't. Here is the list. It's my sig from Dodgetalk.com

'01 Ram 1500 SLT Laramie 4x4 Quad Cab Debadged, 360 cubic inches of pure American muscle.
Performance Mods:Hypertech Power Programmer III, TB: Fins cut, ported and polished Intake: Ported and polished, runners cut down 5/8", 180 T-stat, Edelbrock Pro-Flo 1002, Magnaflow high flow cat and 3"SI/2.5"DO exhaust w/ 3" polished stainless tips, Plenum repaired w/ Hughes kit
Appearance Mods: Eagle wheels 16x8, 33" Toyo Open Country AT's (285/75), Diamond Back headlights w/Silverstar lamps, Aluminum billet grill, Lund moonvisor, Black tube step bars, Bulldog keyless entry, Westin ultimate bull bar w/2 Baja 55w off road lights w/HID lamps

There is one pic of it earlier in this thread. I don't know if I have any public galleries left. Here are a few pic. As it says in my sig I'm running 33" tires. In the pic those are my old 32's. Sadly the rims aren't that clean anymore. They need some work.new_rims_2.webp391209.webpIMG_4425.webp

Nice truck! Looks sharp.

How do you like the Hypertech? Did it increase gas mileage any?

EDIT: I believe I know one of the mods from Dodge Talk...

Funny you guys mention the cracked dash. My gf has a 1998 SLT and the dash is totally fubar'd up. Well, the whole truck is fubar'd. Wasn't taken care of. My '05 Tundra, on the other hand...
