By the way, this is also one of the most interesting discussions on any phone-related forum right now. This is an interesting topic, and I can't believe so many people are quick to criticize those who are frustrated about the way the release of this phone has been handled. Yeah, I get it, it's just a phone - and I seriously doubt anyone is losing sleep over it. Still, for those people waiting to replace a phone that is 2+ years old, it's frustrating and worth discussing in my opinion.
There's also almost no humor here - lighten up people. It really IS just a phone, but that doesn't mean you can't crack a joke about Verizon, Best Buy, HTC - whoever. They're just companies, you're not hurting their feelings. That especially goes out to those people who have been working tirelessly to defend Verizon on this discussions - give it a rest. Verizon doesn't care that we're complaining about them, and they sure don't care that you're defending them.
I'm sorry that other thread got closed - I agree we didn't need two, but it would have made sense to merge it with this one rather than just close it. Hook said it himself though, he's the mod, he's the decision maker. :icon_rolleyes:

Still waiting for Miami to come in and say something. Hard to not think the thread was closed to protect Miami's ass.

I'm sure that I didn't hurt Miami's feelings. You win some, you lose some.
Now that I was right about the March release of this phone, I feel like pushing my prediction back into April.... but that would probably be pushing my luck
Lets just say, I'm keeping an eye on all this and if I had to guess based on the information I've read and my own ideas about business - I'd say this phone will release on or around March 15.

Anyone other than Lowell McAdams stating they have "concrete", "verified" "factual information about this phone is just blowing smoke up our arses. When its here, its here. I am tired of my Imagio and want a new phone, but heck, I may even wait to see what comes out in the next few months. Patience is a virtue. Retrain yourselves for a few days(weeks), whatever. If you need a new phone I have a sweet Razr you can have.....free!

just called bb beacause I wanted to know what time to pick up my xoom and I just asked bout the thunderbolt and they said again delayed until they get further word about it

The fact is that without an official statement by Verizon, no one knows or will ever know exactly when this phone will release.
Verizon is doing this on purpose - they want to keep pushing this thing back if necessary. Most likely it has to do with the iPhone, and no matter how you feel, that is now Verizon's top moneymaker and their only ticket to winning subscribers from the other carriers.
The Thunderbolt is a phone for enthusiasts who are already Verizon customers. In other words - Verizon doesn't care about you anymore.
Watch manufacturers like HTC and Thunderbolt begin focusing more on the other three carriers now... Androids dominance on Verizon has come to a close.

Not to be rude but you can believe it or not. My source is a confidentiality issue. Put it this way I'm not putting my job on the line by pasting a screenshot of my emails that I receive. What I said is by no means a speculation....if u wanna believe it fine..if not that's fine too. I'm just passing along information. Nice gesture in my opinion...
It's obvious that the release date is March - we don't need screenshots, transcripts, voice recordings, memos or the good word of a stockboy at the local Best Buy. Phones are not given ninja releases without any advance notice - this isn't a Radiohead album.
Expect at least 1 or 2 week lead time on any release of this phone, so anything within a week from today will not be a release date.
You poor guy, I was one a Imagio with a cracked screen till my lovely wife bought me a Eris for $75 off Craigs List. I think she just got tired of listening to me complain about it.
It makes me wince every time someone talks about how bad the Eris is because it was definately a step up from the Imagio. The rom scene for the Imagio is generally sucktastic.

I would think it's more likely that HTC doesn't want to get slaughtered by iPhone sales. Like no sane video game publisher releases anything around COD, Halo, or GTA.
Post the screenshots and block out the confidential parts....Duuuuuuuh!
