When Will the ThunderBolt Be Available for Purchase

Sorry guys, not to be a Debbie Downer or anything, but the 24th is just not happening. Just called a bunch of local stores in the Towson/Baltimore area and here are my results:


Best buy #1- no release date, haven’t received phones yet

Verizon wireless #1- no release date, haven’t received phones yet

**Verizon wireless #2- not allowed to tell me, the day they thought it would come out (28th) isn’t happening, haven’t received phones yet

Verizon wireless #3- Monday Feb 28th, haven’t received phones yet

Verizon wireless #4- no release date, haven’t received phones yet

Verizon wireless #5- no release date, haven’t received phones yet

**The lady from the 2nd store flat out said "I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say."

So here's to the 28th!!

Like I said you cant have an agrument with someone without a mod stepping in...To stay on topic I went to BB and the manager said it was pushed back and will not be launching on the 24th and does not have a release date all they know is HTC pushed it back

Since a few of you are straying off topic in here I will say this. Droid Forums is privately owned. Secondly if a thread is closed its for a reason. Lastly there more than enough Thunderbolt threads, starting anymore would be redundant.

And..we were perfectly happy posting in the other thread until YOU GUYS decided to tell us what to do and I've been reading it all day and can't even figure out what you had your panties all in a wad about anyway! You're not supposed to have an open argument. It was the thunderbolt release date thread, not the flex nuts if your guess was right and put down whoever you disagree with thread.

You don't call up Best Buy and go "Gee uh, when is the Thunderbolt going to be available???"

You do something called social engineering.

Call up Best Buy and say you're so and so from corporate and you'd like to speak with the manager - but you find out his name first so you ask for him by name.

Ask if his store is getting calls about the Thunderbolt, ask what his employees are telling the customers. Say something like "they're not telling anyone the actual release date yet, right?"

You can try the same trick on Verizon Wireless stores.

Of course it helps if you can act and sound convincing.

When I was a kid we'd get all kinds of proprietary information from the phone companies by calling them up acting like "Bob in service and support" or whatever.

It's amazing what people will tell you if they think you're someone on the inside.

Wait your not suppose to have an argument the thread was the release date everyone was getting different dates. Did you even read that post go read it buddy than tell me what you think. No one was flaming or anything so go read it before you put your two cents in. To stay on topic I think it will come out in March

A little frustrated that the other thread was closed. Deal with people that are inappropriate. Do not punish the vast majority of us who were appropriate for well over 4,000 posts. I am a middle school counselor and if anyone knows about drama and childish antics it is me. There were only a few "adolescents" in the last thread they should have been given the boot and allowed the rest of us adults to carry on.

called power tripping, you will see that after 5 months of following a particular subject at this site.. they give out warnings then they close the thread..

why would it make sense to just punish those who break rules when its easier to just close everything.. lol

but like i said in my last post the only thing i can think of is not what has happened already but what will happen in that thread and this one tomorrow when the phone isnt here.. people are going to be crying up a storm and causing all sorts of anger tirades..

I hope they push this thing back far enough for people to lose interest and hurt their sales but i doubt it..
