@ThatsJT in cdma only mode its fine.. modern smartphone level but a lil worse due to 3g mods.. but LTE is a hog!

People really should get past the iPhone being the boogeyman causing all Android issues with Verizon. Android was doing things like this long before the iPhone. At some point the blame needs to end. They hurt themselves not releasing other new units. I don't buy the iPhone excuse for a second.

Why? It's pretty well known that the iPhone 4 launch put lots more demand on the existing 3G network, that had to be tested and even strengthened before the release of the iPhone. What do you think happened to the testing and roll-out of the 4G LTE network at that time frame? I absolutely think that the delay of the Thunderbolt has to do with the iPhone 4 release.

Sure, anything is possible. I just think you're barking up the wrong tree. Did it slow things down some? Probably. But I don't think it has much of anything to do with the extent of this delay. I believe there is something else.

I know its a real surprise, but not everything evil in this world is Apple's fault.

I'm not barking up any trees there bud, let's get that straight right now.

So im assuming that the engadget article that I was referring to that just came out in the past hour or so is old news huh? Some of us post on here not to show that we know it all but to see the imput and opinions of our fellow peers. Because we actually value what others have to say. So do me a favor and save ur wit and sarcasm for ur fellow know-it-alls. Bcuz ur sense of humor is lost on individuals like myself!

I have nothing against the iphone and if Verizon had the phone 3 years ago, I would have bought one then. I just would not switch to AT&T for anything. I can't tell you why the CSR told me the ihpone was the reason for the delay but he did. Is it not possible that the launch of the iphone could be the cause of the TB delay? I am very happy with the android OS and won't buy an iphone, but that's just me.

Sorry, I didn't mean for that to sound so pointed at you. That wasn't the intention. I think at this point the Verizon reps have gotten so frustrated answering all of the emails and phone calls that I'm sure they're getting, they say whatever sounds the most reasonable to get people off the phone. We've seen many times before that they usually don't have much more insight into releases, if not less information, than we typically do.

thanks for the apology. I talked to 3 reps this past week and 2 told me the TB was coming out on the 24th(1 of these reps told me about the iphone delaying the release) and the last one I talked to said the TB had no release date in their system. They seemed curious how the first 2 reps told me the 24th release date. So I agree with you that they don't know much and if they do, they can't tell us.

Let us be more specific about apple gripes and gripes in general. I don't have a problem with iphone on VerizonWireless. What I have a problem with is apple intell Thunderbolt™ technology encroaching on our Thunderbolt release. With that said I know it annoys a few posters. I can only speculate as to weather or not apple is trying to turn android followers to their darkside of android IOS. Who has turned? The bottom line is where is your loyalty? Is it Google or Apple? Untill an alliance is formed we android followers are all of the rebel alliance and Apple IS THE DARK SIDE. So the Thunderbolt debate continues but if you are going to flame can u please not bring up a date, a mod, or the iphone, because that is TOTALLY OFF TOPIC DUDES. Be specific it will help us all in the Android Wars

I believe the Thunderbolt was all Intel's doing on name but I'll look. Either way, it is technology not even remotely associated with the phone as far as its purpose. Beyond that, all's fair in love and war. If HTC, Motorola, Verizon, whoever want to survive, they might want to learn how to up their game. Business isn't going to get any easier in the near future.

Make us wonder about what? Everything I have read was that this would be for all computers, just Apple is the first to implement in their computers. The others will follow in short order if it flies.
