When Will the ThunderBolt Be Available for Purchase

Well I do not think there are any issues with the Thunderbolt at all. I think Verizon is having "capacity" problems. I see my signal strength flip flop from 3G to 1X constantly the past few weeks. This never happened before, been a Customer 8 years and never dropped a call anywhere until recently. Now I can not hold a call that is short in duration, let alone call Verizon to complain. Sometimes I get through the menu options and am waiting on a tech and the call drops.
Yesterday I had to drive to the local gas station and use the pay phone to make a Dr appt, cause I could not do it on any of my cell phones, I have 3. The pay phone is less that a quarter mile from the tower and it still would not hold a call with 4 bars on the Casio or the Droid.

in real world terms. what is the difference between a 1400 and 1600mah battery? an hour or two? hope it is better than that... seidio has a 1600mah batt coming out but it doesn't seem like it would make a huge diff. now if they came out with a 3500mah battery like the evo 4g, it would solve our little problem :icon_ banana:
According to their website, Seidio is now shipping their 1600 mAh slim extended battery ($50) that fits with the stock TB battery cover. BUT, I have not had good luck with their batteries. I bought 3 1750 mAh slim extended batteries for my Touch Pro2 and after about 8 months, they are only good for about 2 hours of use. Very disappointing quality for a $50 product. Other 3rd party vendors claim to have such slim extended batteries, but independent testing does not always verify their capacity claims and they sometimes seem to be of inferior quality. Verizon takes care of me, 'though--while I'm waiting for the delayed TB, they gave me a true extended capacity battery & cover for $7. They had them on sale for $14 and gave it to me for 1/2 price.

wait... verizon sells extended batteries? hu i didnt know that..

Yes. There's one in their system for the Thunderbolt, but I don't know the price yet. Someone posted a screenshot from a Verizon computer.

I think it's over priced. I'll wait for motorola

thats just silly. even if its $299. If it works as well as advertised, its quite a good bang for the buck.
I am eagerly waiting for it since dropping my droid my power button is stuck in. gotta plug in the charger to wake it up. The thunderbolt cant come soon enough.

So, two weeks in a row, we have ads in the Sunday paper, yet no phone. Hilarious. Anyone know why the disclaimers at the bottom say AVAILABLE IN NJ?

I found that interesting also. Last week I called a NJ store to see if they had the phone and got the usual reply that it was delayed

So the front page of BestBuy add has both At&t and Verizon Iphone for 199, then next page inside has TBolt for 299, yet the phone isn't available yet?

I just noticed that as well....wouldn't it be nice if they did a silent launch today at BB? that would be one heck of a surprise but not likely at all.

You'd think after last week, when they put out the ad and had to retract it with an in-store disclaimer, that they would have learned their lesson for this week and pulled the ad, or at least put "coming soon" so as not to deceive people into coming into the store again for no reason. Nope, still says "new" (giving the appearance that it is available), and now they have jacked the price up $50 on us. WTF Best Buy?!?! Bad form. Why u gotta be like that?
