Who is going to...[Re-Revisited]-Vending.apk

OK...what the hell is going on??? I see my market apk in system/app, and Market Updater when I go to settings>manage apps. But no Market! Any ideas??

thanks girlsluvdroid, I only made minor changes though and with older files from thebowers, so all the other themers here deserve just about all of the credit

Well here is the black market with a couple of my tweaks added. basically it is the same black market posted in the op except I gave it more of the original blacknbold feel.

-I switched icons to thebowers old black market icon
-changed the white fade gradient back to its normal size and made it a black fade gradient instead
-used thebowers blacknbold buttons

Tsip85, the files are update.zip they CANNOT be installed with SPR.....

Your market is now screwed up, don't worry, but the ONLY way, yes the ONLY way to fix it is to go back to a fully functional "old" market then install one of the zips with CLOCKWORK and clockwork ONLY.....

1. Restore your rom back to before you tried to install the new market...
2. Verify that the market is FULLY functional...
3. Move the zip to your SD
4. Be sure you have CLOCKWORK recovery, if not STOP HERE, these won't work...
5. Reboot into recovery
6. install zip from SD
7. choose zip from SD
8. select the fill you just put there
9. reboot
10. You should be good to go with the "new" market themed to your choice....

LOL, thanks for not holding that against me. although it does bother me some, i think next time i will wait to edit the images until after it is compiled to see if that does anything...

I think that is the key.
I never thought of signing cause it's a system app, but everytime i tried to change image while the apk was decompiled I got errors trying to compile. I instead I started just, doing my xmls and compiling, then extracting the unsigned apk, changing out images, optimize images, zip it up, and never had another problem.

People are looking for the icon named "Market" & not seeing the icon named "Black Market"

Why can't the update.zip be installed thru SPRecovery?... and if he has ClockWork he could probably install GApps from cyanogenmod... haven't tried that but moght work in getting the old market back...

Well now, that would make sense! Didn't realize they were for Clockwork and not SPR. Let me ask this: If I get a fully functional stock market working, can I extract the .apk from the zip file and copy it to system/app using Root Explorer? or is the ONLY way to do this through Clockwork?

No, you cannot do it like that with the vending.apk. Droid Does said he installed through SPR.

I only use Clockwork, it must be able to install through SPR if you guys have done it, but I seem to recall something about update.zips not being compatible with SPR, or they had to be renamed or something like that..... I could be wrong... I usually am .....

Anyway, I apologize if I gave misinformation..... sorry guys......

For a dinc update.zip you have to remove the first 2 lines of the update-script.
