Who is waiting for the OTA ICS??

I was trying to root ICS on my Bionic. I will try again when I get home from work and have time. I followed all of the instructions given but I was stuck at the same spot as he was. I am on .905.

Install RSD Lite 5.7 (second link)
Plug your phone into USB
Reboot it into fastboot (turn phone off, hold volume up and down at the same time and press power, volume down to AP Fastboot, press volume up)
Load RSD Lite
Ensure it sees your phone
Open the FXZ file (first link)
Click start
Wait....do not touch ANYTHING while it's working.

You will now be on 902 stock.

If you are on .905, youre still on Gingerbread and not ICS....

Maybe those instructions will help anyone non-stock who doesn't want to wait for OTA. I don't blame people for wanting to wait. In theory we should only be a month or less away.

That's why I wrote my script. It's not without risk, let me be clear. But, when it works, and for the vast majority it does quite well, it allows you to move through the leaks quite easily without losing data or apps. It will push the updates to your sdcard-ext, downgrade you to 902, and then explain how to put the phone into recovery. It then walks you through the steps to flash 905, the latest ICS update, and wipe the cache. After that, you reboot the phone and you're on the latest ICS build with everything still in place. The risk is if the script doesn't work for whatever reason, you'll have to do a full restore of the phone and reset up your apps and settings. But, that's the worse case.

Samuri- can you send me your script? You have helped me get onto .230. I am interested on how these new leaks can come to my sd-ext card. I would say I now am comfortable messing around with my phone and could probably get back a safe place if I messed things up.
As others have stated, so many helpful people on these forums! Us average geeks can continue to forge ahead!!!

Take the OTA 905 update. Then make sure 232 is on your sdcard-ext, boot into recovery, and install it. Wipe the cache in recovery after the update installs but before you reboot the phone.
