Who is waiting for the OTA ICS??

Me too

I am going to wait for the official OTA. I really love my Bionic, and I hear that there are still potential issues with the
Leaks so it's worth it to me to wait. Shouldn't be much longer now.

232 just came out today..... may the official OTA will be out soon.

The .232 is pre OCed on the rev 3A chipset now so both chipsets are now OCed an I have to say been running it for about 3 hrs an its extremely smooth no lockups force closes an Flash player seems to be working good also there is one new app an its for developers its a CQA app I think moto is being more developer friendly :-)

I really really tried to wait, but I just couldn't wait. Flashed .232 today and it is absolutely AMAZING. The thing is blazing fast. The only problem I have is that the stock ICS text messaging app is ugly as all get out.

I'm just hoping that .232 is the official upgrade and I don't have to FXZ back down to .902

I have ics on both of my maxx's, and I'm patiently waiting for the bionics ics release :)

DROID RAZR MAXXIMIZED!!!! PREPARE TO BE VANQUISHED!!!

I must say i was fully planning on waiting, then my damn curiosity got the best of me. And I don't regret it one bit my phone seems SO much faster, no data drops and my data (3g) actually seems to have faster speeds,I'm loving it!

Install 6.7.232 on your Bionic, keep a handy copy of the .902 FXZ file in case you need it to get back on the update path, and prepare to enjoy a BETTER build of ICS than you have on your maxx's. The Bionic ICS leaks so far have been 100% FXZ friendly.

Glad to know I'm not the only one waiting. I do not have time to mess with down loads that may renderer my phone useless... I would not be happy.

The only way it's going to render your phone useless is if somehow you screw it up, which is nearly impossible. I suppose it's possible if you let the battery run out during the update, but this is an official Motorola update package and it will either install, or throw out an error message and refuse to install (you will at that point still be on Gingerbread).

There are scores of us out here, testing these builds and keeping track of issues. I have personally put my phone at risk by verifying that ALL of the ICS leaks for the Bionic so far (including 6.7.232) are totally reversible via the 5.9.902 FXZ file. I think I speak for the community as a whole when I state that no way in hell are we going to recommend installing something that isn't safe to install. If something is unsafe to flash and is posted, it is done so with a clear warning.

I will end up waiting. Every time I get an itch to do something I have logged on here and found another update and figure I will give it time to see what others think. Now it seems like the OTA is closer than I originally thought. As long as Verizon gives it the thumbs up quickly that is when Motorola give it to them. Otherwise I only hurt myself by waiting I guess.

I can't wait for the OTA. My phone will not do OTA's. Has not since day one. My phone has always given me the message Update not available. Took it back to VZW early and they told me it was normal for an up to date phone. But then the first OTA came out. One month no OTA for the Buford. 2 months no OTA. So I side loaded the official release. Still no update available. Even now with the ICS 2233 loaded, 'Update not available' message is all I get. I have never gotten any other message than that.

That can actually be fixed but it's not fun. You basically have to do a factory reset and it should clear up that problem. Then you'll have to set up your phone again, but, it should allow you to get OTA updates after that.

Samari, we did that twice in the beginning as well as two new sim cards. VZW offered to replace the phone, offered a razor, but with that being the only issue that I really have ever experienced, and the fact that they give you a used phone, I chose to keep this one. They really don't have an answer as to why the reset and new Sims didn't work. Side loading is not really an inconvenience, and with all the help I get on here, it's all good.
