MTP is set, debugging is on. The phone doesnt have to be in any startup mode or anything, does it?

The right spot? I just might be missing a step....

Kill the script and reboot your phone. Try again after it's fully restarted. Make SURE it's in MTP mode before starting the script.

Tried it again. MTP mode all the way, fresh restart of the phone. No go. Still hangs at "daemon started successfully"...

Make sure you have the proper Moto drivers loaded on your computer.

Verify you have the LATEST moto drivers installed. We all use the moto driver manager thing.

Uninstall current drivers, reboot, install that, reboot, connect to USB and set to MTP, reboot AGAIN, and then try running it again.

When I plugged it in, it installed a few drivers successfully. Are there others out there? Im running Win7 Pro 64bit.

I had that, I believe I got past it by installing SuperUser from the market first.

Try a different USB port.

Sometimes if Superuser is already installed it will corrupt the install of another root exploit. In install Superuser, wipe cache and start over. This same thing happened to me yesterday.

Fascinating. I never use SuperUser for root. That doesn't sound fun.

I mean uninstall Superuser. Use the apk that comes with Razr's Edge.
