Who thinks this NBA season will be cancled ?

I had Pacers eliminating the Heat, but then Wade took over. Plus the injuries to Granger and West didn't help either, also a couple questionable calls. It is what it is though. I knew Boston would give the Heat trouble as they had trouble with them all season, but you would think Lebron would learn to step up. He choked 2 games and now it's more obvious than ever, he doesn't want to put the team on his back. Same Lebron from the Finals last year, he's just crumbling alot earlier.

NBA has changed so much over the years, but one thing hasn't. Basketball is still a team sport, and you need a team to win, not 3 stars and a d-league roster with no system.

Would you have said that in the beginning? I took Boston from the beginning. Team players

Dezymond basically said what I wanted to say.

I actually think the knicks (I'm a Knick fan lol) could have beat Miami in the first round...but the team fell apart for some weird reason.

Then I thought the pacers would beat Miami in six...I was wrong on that. Lots of bad calls I think.

Same scenario with Boston now...a lot of bad calls from referrers but Boston is holding their ground better. They're also an older team with a great coach though, so ye their team work is great. Similar to San Antonio.

I think okc is going to win it all anyway though.

Right being a Lakers fan I could never cheer for Boston "fully". They are playing as a team and I can respect that. I honestly feel like we would be on our way to the finals if we had just pound the ball down low more. We gave OKC games and now they are turning it up. I really feel bad for the city of Seattle.

Knicks had no chance I think (don't mean to offend albo), they had no chemistry (at least with Melo and Amare back in). All the injuries they had all season didn't give them enough of a chance either. Starting over with Woodson finally provides some stability, but the fact of the matter is that Melo and Amare cannot coexist, and the addition of Chandler just disrupts Amare even more on the offensive end. They have become a better defensive team with Chandler, no doubt, but on the offense he's a log jam. I've always like Chandler, even his days on the Bulls, and he's gotten better on the offensive end over the years, the point is he's a big man and he'll clog the middle. Amare never found his groove, but still can be an offensive weapon and like Melo, he doesn't make his teammates better. Get Lin healthy, give this roster another shot to see how far they can get under a coach that's willing to take on the task (Woodson) and go for it one more time, it don't work, blow it up (if possible).

As for Lakers, implosion, pretty much it. That Nuggets series should've been cake for LA (especially judging from the first 2 games), but they went away from what worked, pounding the ball inside. You can blame it on anyone on that team, but the point is it didn't get done. After watching that series, I already knew they didn't stand a chance against OKC. Most likely going to see Pau traded away (unless he's an FA), but who knows what they'll get in return. Who knows if Brown will be back either, I personally never thought he was a really good coach.

And as for my Mavs, well...who knows at this point. Pathetic stand at defending our title, but I knew we were doomed, a win would've been nice though. OKC was our best matchup and they outplayed us in every category after they stole one of their home games, thanks KD! (nah jk, love the guy). Too old, too injured, and not enough size. All good though, Dirk got his ring, that's all I wanted for his career and as a Mavs fan, a repeat would've been sweet, but I think realistically, even if we were healthy we would've been eliminated by second round. Wonder if we'll land D-Will though.

As for the Finals. I sorta want MIA to get in so they lose again, give some false hope and inflate the egos of that team and their "fans" so OKC (from what it looks like now, I had SA) to crush them. I'm not counting SA, but OKC seems to got them figured out and they play much better at home too. And I still believe IND would've had that series if Granger and West didn't get injured along with the inconsistent calls.

Knicks didn't have a chance because it was too hectic of a year...Chandler is great, he just won a ring. Look at Dallas after he left. I think the problem is selfish players...and amare is done too. Good point guard is important too. Hopefully nash or deron williams

Lin isn't bad, best PG y'all had since Chauncey. I see Nash staying in Phoenix to be honest, and I don't think you guys have the cap space to get D-Will, unless y'all trade Amare or Melo, which is a near impossible task. And growing up in the Bay, I have seen Lin play a couple times and he's pretty good, he just finally got the chance, so no I didn't hop the Linsanity wagon. He has much to work on (overdribbling seems to be his achilles), but he has a bright future if he can stay on a team and it seems like NY fits him well.

Congratulations Thunder. Fisher getting 6. As far as the Knicks Melo is the Kobe of that team. Meaning they will never win playing unnecessary one on one basketball.

Not sure I get your logic. I am no Kobe fanboy he does shoot too much at times. Complete nut this year. However, Kobe has 5 rings, 7 finals alpearences, multi all defense appearances, multi 1st team all-NBA, MVP, etc, etc. Melo has none of the aforementioned accomplishments, so how is he the Knicks' Kobe?

I agree with you on Fish getting 6.

Oh man been a Kobe fan for years. With that being said never knew why he was always on the all defensive team. First 3 championships I have to give Shaq the edge. In the last one Ron Arrest and Derek saved the Lakers from being beat by the Celtics. See I can throw up stats all day long but in reality some players just get star treatment. Not saying that Kobe isn't good, but actually watching the game a lot of the success isn't him.

That Kobe's Knock thing was based on the series versus the Thunder. When the Lakers had the Thunder by the throat and Kobe shot the Lakers out of the game. Wasn't meant to be about his career and his earlier career was very selfish by the way.

Back, you gotta be the most sensible Lakers/Kobe fan I know.

In my many years of having numerous Kobe debates the other party has always brought up his many accolades, but fail to realize it wasn't just him. As good as Kobe is he can also be their weakness because he just doesn't trust his teammates enough. The thing I respect most about Kobe though is his competitiveness. I haven't seen a player since MJ who has been so competitive, but Kobe definitely fits that comparison (and that's it imo, but that's a whole different matter). There's only 2 other superstars I see that in, Rose and KD. All 3 of these guys give it their all on both ends of the floor and try to carry the team. Kobe is famous for shooting them out of games, but KD has done it a handful of times and Rose has also done so, especially ever since he developed a decent 3pt shot. Rose and KD especially, put the team on their backs and take full responsibility for their success and failures. If they win it's because of their teammates, if they lose it's cause they didn't do enough. Glad to see two young and humble stars, unlike 2 other stars who get alot more attention...

You know you have to be realistic about this type of thing. If you go by stats you would think these players are having monster type games. LeBron for example, if you read the state sheet you never know that in the 4th he was nonexistent lol. That was a shot.

No seriously though after Jordan left the NBA(Stern) knew that they needed another him. Kobe at that time showed tremendous potential but his game is not on that level. Although he honestly did become a better scorer, he just couldn't demand a game like MJ could. After awhile I look at it as a business. If you pay attention They are Really doing it now with KD because they know Kobe is on his way out, and nobody likes LeBron.

You're absolutely right. Kobe did draw in about the same attention as Kobe but that's about it. Stern got what he wanted, another cash cow for the next 10+ years, but he couldn't emulate another MJ. Don't get me wrong, Kobe is one of the greatest to ever play the game, but there is only one G.O.A.T.

KD is going to be the next biggest superstar, I saw this coming as soon as he stepped onto the NBA hardwood. He isn't the type of star that likes the spotlight like Kobe and MJ do. A down to earth, quiet, and humble kid is going to run the NBA without him even knowing it. And the same goes for Rose as well, these are the kind of superstars who I love to see succeed. Stern has a handful of mellow superstars who just play the game and can really care less bout what the media puts out about them. They quietly improve their games year after year without the charades that a few other superstars go through every season. Some of these younger stars remind me of Duncan and his personality and those kind of stars are good for the nba

Believe it or not its starting to rub off on westbrook as well. Durant is the man but I still say everything changed for that team when westbrook deferred. Gotta love what's going on in that locker room.

Westbrook has always been humble IMO. Did you hear his story about his friend and his constant tribute to him? Classy guy along with KD. He just takes alot of the heat because KD is a better shooter than him and he takes less shots. WB has been great these playoffs and has kept his TOs down for the most part. That group in OKC has 4 young and humble stars, you really can't not like a team like that. They really do deserve to go all the way.

And like I've told my heat wagoning friend all along. KD got robbed of the MVP, so he'll make it up with a better chance at the ring than lebron has now. And as far as I'm concerned its just a matter of time before he lifts up the award that matters most, NBA championship
