Who thinks this NBA season will be cancled ?

Since my skins went on that 6 game skid maybe the wizards pick it up! Can't wait to see them play

Wizards should be pretty good with another year, they're a young athletic team. John Wall is insane and his potential is through the roof. McGee is a freak of nature for a big man and if he doesn't improve that would be a real shame. I don't get to watch any wizard games as I'm in Bay Area, but I do hope they show more.

My Mavs get a chance to defend their title though. Hope we don't lose Chandler though, he's the key to a title defense.

Yea I hope so and that European we drafted from overseas with the girlfriend, he's supposed to really be something too.

I forget how the NBA playoffs work, its top 2 teams in each division, and then 2 wildcards right? We have a tough division with 3 play off contendors already in it but hopefully we can find our way in. I mean we got new uniforms!

I've always felt llike having big men is the key to a championship in the NBA. If you look at the teams that one the championship in the past decade they all had a big man/post presence. Not even Kobe could do by himself, first shaq, then pau gasol came in

Its about time Dirk won a championship I mean come on, 7 footer who buckets 3's? Automatic hall of fame

I am looking forward to the Celtics last hoorah, don't know if they have what it takes but Rondo, Allen, Pierce and Garnett will definitely give everything they have. We need a legit big man though.

I was so happy when we won, couldn't believe it. Think I even shed a tear, tear of happiness, don't care laugh at me all you want:D

Dirk is one of the hardest working players in the NBA and has so much heart. In 06' when we goofed that was heartbreaking and I really thought that was our last chance. Couple years of early exits and then this miracle run. I mean many experts had us out against the Blazers, but Blazers were highly overrated and Mavs were underrated. I admit I had us losing to LA in 5 games, but my goodness a sweep, you knew Dallas was in for something big. Even if we didn't win it all, I would've been extremely proud of my team cause they played every game with the same intensity. The team ball we played, the defense we played, and all the big moments, playoffs were a real treat, even if you aren't a Mavs fan you knew they were doing something special. Being a Mavs fan for 10 years, that is the greatest basketball I've ever seen them play.

Dirk and Kidd have solidified their spot in the HoF. And most of all no one will ever overlook the Mavs as long as Dirk is on the team.:hail::hail::hail:

As for your comment about the big men being the key to championships, couldn't agree more, along with defense of course. There might've been one exception, the Suns the year they would've had the Spurs beat if it weren't for those lame suspensions on Diaw and Amare. That was seriously their championship year imo.

And Stern corrupts again...

It was a fair trade all-around imo. CP3 gets what he wants and the Hornets get alot to show for it (Odom, Martin, Dragic, Scola, possible 1st rd pick). Houston gets their need at the 5 in Gasol (though he's a 4 imo). Don't get how owners complain about this trade and none of the trades that happened last season....ridiculous...

probably because all the owners have a piece of the hornets and they're not getting any star players to fill the stands ... that place is empty as it is.... they would probably have a better overall team but no star player.... I think they should've allowed it

Apparently Dan Gilbert is still hurt by the betrayal of his former superstar: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ys-nba_dan_gilbert_email_lakers_hornets_trade_120811

I
'm going to stick with saying it was a fair trade. It addressed the needs for all the teams. LA got what they wanted a superstar for the future, houston got their 4/5 problem addressed, and hornets got a bunch of quality players which would be a good start for a franchise that is most likely on the move to another city. Although it didn't go through now, I believe it will once the Hornets find an owner. With this trade vetoed this creates more drama than what would've happened if the trade went through imo. You got a bunch of unhappy players, and these are pretty big name players too....
