Who's planning on getting the Droid Turbo?

Didn't see a reply here, so I will take a stab.

I believe that since the Razr MAXX, they have fixed/updated to support USB OTG. I am quite confident that the Turbo will support it.

Awesome! I use my rooted N7 to remove photos from SD cards in trail cameras. Just gets bulky to haul into the woods. Looking forward to using my phone!

Well I tried to see what it would cost me to switch to Verizon instead of TMo so I could get the Turbo, but they won't let me put 4 phones into my cart. Only 1.

I wish someone could convince me that this is that much better than my Droid Maxx. It's got some awesome specs, but the Maxx already does everything you could need. I need someone to nudge me towards the purchase counter...I do like having the latest and greatest but is it that much better? Other Maxx owners dropping $200 on this?
I'm dropping $600 on it.

I wonder if the $100 any phone trade in offer will be honored for phones bought at retail? I've got an old Droid Incredible that I'm going to dust off and bring in with me tomorrow.

I have an HTC Droid DNA with a cracked screen (2 months ago). Works perfectly but I'm wondering if they will give me the $100 or even a prorated amount. ....Sucks when you drop it screen down onto cement and then that slow bend with eyes closed to pick it up and see what you already know!!

The terms say that the offer is only good with a new two year activation, so that rules out it applying to purchases at full retail.

That said, depending on the rep/store, folks might be able to get them to honor it.

I bought my new Turbo at retail today and had no problem turning in an old (but still very serviceable) 1st gen Droid Incredible for a $100 credit. AND, I guess because I did it in store rather than on line, it was not a gift card to be used on a future purchase, but rather a $100 discount off of the $599 retail price. New Turbo for $499 (plus tax). BTW, the rep looked the Incredible up on their rebate chart. If they weren't having this promotion the trade in value would have been $6. NICE!

EDIT: Technically it wasn't a $100 "discount". The rep entered the trade info into their system, generated a gift card, and then used the card toward the purchase.

Not to disagree, but, my email doesn't say anything about on/contract. Just says towards purchase. Did you get that info from VZW site? Just got my BB storm to light up.

sent from my XT1080 using tapatrash

It is indeed from the Verizon site. You can find it here in the Turbo press release.

"Get $100 or more when you trade in your old smartphone and purchase a DROID Turbo by Motorola with new two year activation. Trade-in must be in good working condition."

Also, if you go here on the Verizon site, and then click on red "Learn More" button on the banner, you'll find similar info (although it mentions Edge).

"Purchase a new Motorola DROID TURBO with new 2yr activation on Edge."

When I was in the store today, they told me the $100 trade-in is only available with a new 2 year contract and signing up for Edge.

Of course, as with any number of things, you may be able to get a rep or manager to honor it on a full retail device.
