This was asked over in the RAZR M forums and although I know there wasn't a Bionic Dev edition, any idea what it is for?

"In my settings section, I've got a choice called "Developer Options"......which has an entire page of "options", and a Development Device serial#.

Did I somehow get a Developer's model of my Razr M, and if I did......what is different abou it, what advantages, disadvantages??"

This pic is from my Bionic

I meant to ask this myself the other night.

Holy $hit!!
That's a looong time.
I thought something might be amiss in the install.
I am glad I posted this stage of this upgrade:blink:
So I don't get flamed I followed the instructions to a "T"....
I also have a background in programming so I know how critical it is to follow procedures.
I will keep you posted as to my progress.

Thanxs SamuriHL for making this possible:biggrin:

Hi all. Been following the Bionic forum since June. Lurking - no, enjoying - YES. The 244 thread was awesome, and I tip my cap to Sarge, Sam and all the rest for some incredible reading. It was a real F5-er! Have enjoyed the wireless moot since then. Took the plunge and finally installed 246 last weekend, went smooth as silk. Thank you Sam for all your hard work! (Even at the races!) Going to wait for a while before I jump to 247.

My Bionic has a Development device ID and it is a different value than yours--if that's of any use.

Pretty sure it is an ICS thing... and seeing that we have unique ID's..guessing it's for bug reports?

It's for ADB. When you turn on USB debugging and connect the phone, ADB can recognize multiple devices by using that ID.

Can take up to 10+ hours. Do NOT kill it else you will break things.

Are you being serious ? I have used hob from 2233 on up( 232,242,244,246)and its never taken more than 30 min why 10+ hours now?
Somewhere in here I read where a guy used a different sd card without his music on it . Is this something we should all do ?

Did I say *WILL* take 10+ hours? I said CAN. As in VARIABLE LENGTH OF TIME. It's dependent upon how much crap you got that it needs to analyze. For some like me it takes about 30 seconds. For others, it's taken literally 10+ hours. If it only took you 30 minutes before, it'll take you 30 minutes now. It's not changed.

oooh not funny samurai! I'm doing the waiting one more week thing now. lol 251 would cause me trouble. lol about ready to get a super techy friend to help me do hob.
