Thanks Lodmot. I have FXZ'ed multiple times so i don't think it's the cable. It's the original cable. I know all about flashing and stuff. I just hope it's a low battery problem.

It could be the computer too. I heard Samuri say that USB 3 ports does weird stuff. Try it with a different computer, or one that has USB 2 ports

Hey Sam, i have followed this thread and many of ur others, mainly the HoB thread (multiple times), and i realize alot of ppl have been messing up their bionics, but i seriously need help. I have followed all of ur instructions on how to use the HoB, but i have ran into a slight problem... If u or any other person on here could help me, i would greatly appreciate it. I was running the .232 ICS leak and started to use ur HoB. I got as far as it asking me if i wanted to root right after i manually put my phone into AP fastboot mode, nothing happened afterwards. Now i can not get off the AP Fastboot mode. It stays in that mode saying "AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S) (Flash Failure)" at the top. It will not come off that screen. I've also tried manually FXZ'ing back to .902 with RSD Lite. Fails everytime. Maybe from low battery. Any ideas? Plz and Thanks in advance.

What leak were you trying to move up to? Were you running 232 prior to using HoB?

The .247 leak. Yes, i was running .232 for about 3-4 months now.

Ok do you still have the 232 support installed? If so there should be an option to fix fastboot failure. Do that then choose the reinstall 232 option. This will get you back on 232 then we can start fresh. Also not sure about it asking you to root after booting into fastboot. Did you run the 247 update through stock recovery?

Just to clarify, which version of ICS were you attempting to install?

Also -- did you perform the steps where you boot your phone into recovery and manually flash the update file? If so, did it flash successfully? Just asking because your description makes it sound like it went straight to the rooting step without actually installing the update, which could mean you don't have all the necessary parts of the HoB.

That's exactly what it did... i was trying to go to the .247 leak...but never made it that far.

That's good, because if you had tried to FXZ back to .902 after installing the .247 leak, it would likely have bricked your phone. Leaks .235+ have a different security that will not allow you to flash back to previous versions.

I would go back through the HoB instructions and make sure you have all the necessary components, including the .905 FXZ, .247 support, 7.7 installer, and RSD 5.7. Then try it again.

Yes, i have all four of those and installed.

The 232 download from the OP. If you never ran the 247 update through stock recovery then you will need the 232 support to fix the fastboot failure. Can you post the contents of the SWDL file in the rsd folder so we can see if rsd did flash anything to you phone?

USB 3.0 issues - Since there have been many discussions regarding the odd behavior that happens when using a USB 3.0 port to flash, I did some quick research. USB 3.0 inputs on your system are backwards compatible to USB 2- as a direct hub device it adheres to the transmission standards. Maybe a bit too closely.... it turns out that the issue may be more related to the device, in this case the phone, in that while being touted as USB 2 compatible - it may not completely meet USB 2 specs, but fall just short. This is not a problem for 2.0 ports because they are backwards compatible to the original USB standard.

This info is based on text research, not testing, so please don't take it as proven knowledge, just a possibility in this case. There have been many complaints, mostly with audio devices regarding the compatibility issue. I think the reason there is the multitude of companies making parts for these thing internationally and perhaps their qc stds are not up to par......

Hope that helps.

O) need a charged battery
O) must use the 247 repair option
O) then use 247 reinstall

This time try not blowing through the prompt that tells you to go into recovery and flash the update.

You didn't need to flash back to 902, you could of just use option 5 (FXZ 905) on HoB.
