Personally I wouldn't mind if this one was now closed as everyone knows that ESE53 is the new2.1 so the converation seems to have ended a long time ago. There is a 2.1 update thread so why not just continue there. It will help those who actually have information and those who are looking for an update ( You know what I mean :icon_evil: ) on the situation as they would only need to post in/read the one thread then.

I think this Verizon/Motorola comedy of errors is a good lesson to companies not to release any information until something is ready to go. Like Apple does.

i agree. but the whole 1/22/10 release was PURELY speculation. February's case when simply major employee error... and this months entertainment happened to be a delay. so really. its everyones fault lol. january: the people. feb=moto and march=vzw.

when will it end? well ofcourse we know when. when the droid becomes "old"

I coined the term "vapor update" for 2.1 several weeks ago . :icon_eek:
2.1 is fast becoming a major flub , and a black eye for VZW and Moto .

VZW didn't annunce 2.1 - it was leaked. Screen shots of the VZW rep's intranet knowledge base do not constitute announcements to the public. They sure as heck aren't announcing it now... they will just push it out and we'll see folks start posting "I got it".

Second, this last report of the rollout WAS NOT A LEAK. It was an official alert from Motorola from twitter - I got an OFFICIAL email.

Lets try to keep this thread clean - about 2.1 coming out. Not stupid rooting talk or vaporware or duke nukem.
