[ROM] [Alpha] Ics4Bionic 01-25-2012

Yeah, I just installed Alpha8 last night at around 9, and the battery was basically drained by 12:30 -1 am.

I think our Alphas are battery eaters because they are continually trying to find and connect to data. My battery usage since taking off the charger 2.5 hrs ago shows 79% of usage going to Android OS, but it's still at 90%.

I find that the battery has been great all day on my Bionic today with this ROM, with wifi on. I think that the fact that mobile data is borked is a good bet for why the battery life has been so good. I doubt it's continually trying to connect to data service. I don't think it is able even to do that.

Mine has 2 bars for data and the roaming indicator pops in and out. I'm now at 4 hrs 19min since charge and still at 90% charge and 81% Android OS usage. Wifi is at 9%

Their ICS ought to be in mid to late beta if not early RC by now, based on the projected OTA time frame we have all seen, so based on that, probably not much.

Alpha 9 is up audio is fixed 1x data is working. You may need to dial *#*#4636#*#* from the dialer to get the phone info screen and toggle to GSM only mode to kick start 1x. enjoy

I dialed that number and once i entered the last character it just cleared the dialer. I didn't get to any kind of a menu. I tried hitting the dial button a couple times and still nothing. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
