Just saw DH's tweet with pic attached - looks like he's achieved 3g. we're close!

So not sure if its the 4G issues or what but I like

I think he's gotten 3G today the same way the rest of us have.Changing from LTE/CDMA to CDMA in Settings.

Well, count me out of that group XD I know 3G is working in my area, but switching from CDMA/LTE to just CDMA isn't doing the trick. Is there another step I'm missing? I'm just running on Alpha9.

Yeah its only working because Verizon has eHRPD force turned off now. Normally they won't let us on EVDO

Correct....when 4G is up our phones default to LTEpref state which makes it ignore EVDO and only try eHRPD 3G which gives the hand off

Hey dhacker...as long as you're here...I asked you this on Twitter but ya must have missed it...Let's say you finished this rom & it was ready for primetime. Can those of us who installed the leaked 5.7.893 update be able to flash this rom or would we need to get back on the update path first?

The update path affects nothing but receiving Verizon ota updates. Tit can flash anything you want

Quick question about root. I tried using root explorer but it said it can't obtain root and I also, just for kicks, tried to update super user and it doesn't force close but stops and exits back to the home screen. I tried looking thru the thread but didn't see anything or maybe I'm blind. Thanks for any ideas. Other then that question,Your rom freaking rocks

Someone did ask... someone also said dh is supposedly fixing root for alpha 10

To fix root go to androidsu.com and download the new su binary 3.0.3.2 and install via safestrap

I read in another thread warning that build 5.9.901 will bork your phone if you try to flash a custom ROM after updating (link). Any possibility it could affect this ROM, too? I don't want to take it and then blow my chances of using this as my daily driver once it hits primetime. :blink:

Im sure it does apply to this rom. Its based on the. 893 kernal as far as i can tell. So i would say .901 wouldnt work.
