Android 2.1 Update Rolls Out For Motorola Droid!

If you force update you will have 2.1 so why will you need OTA for 2.1?

pretty much for the dumbest ****ing reson the force update or the manual updat didn't give everything it said on the verizon web

idk i only got the live wall pappers and still only have 3 screens and the gallery no new update on facebook or anything and i heard there was a facebook update and if thats not happing i gonna be vary disapointed VARY

LOL you got all you were supposed to get. There is NO facebook update.

Nope, they have no way of telling, aside from an update.zip sitting on your sd card

Then the last update list you saw was either bogus, or for the Milestone.

Delete it after you update if you want - do you really think the dopes at Verizon even know enough to look?

Paranoia city. If you have a hardware failure unless you rooted (sorry) then you aren't going to have a problem. Even then it's going to be hard for them to tell even if they care to check.

I've got APK's still sitting there... I don't care. If I delete them it's for space.

Do you think Verizon has the time to take a dead droid and look through the software and take 2 hours to figure out if you messed with it? Or do you think it's not worth their time and they will send you a refurb?

My only concern is not receiving the next update for my phone via OTA if i dont wait for this version to come in via OTA.
