Another Amber Bock waiting for you in Wickliffe, Ohio. THANK YOU!!!

Just to recap after installing this:

-YES, pinch to zoom, where you expect it to be (mmm hmm, browser too)

-Weather and News widget installed by default

-Text-to-speech on the keyboard

-3d gallery is definitely there

-Live wallpapers (11 installed by default)

-Yahoo! Mail functionality, I can't find. I'm sure its there, someone can point me in the right direction.

DOWNSIDE THUS FAR

Lagginess. Am I the only one experiencing this?? Let me know. Even scrolling the drawer, is laggier than 2.01. It might be related to the live wallpapers, I will let you know.

You really should wipe data if coming from 2.0.1. I know it doesn't say to, but experience has been one heck of a teacher to me.

What do you mean by "wipe data"? Do I need to write down my installed apps and do a clean wipe? BTW, I don't doubt your exp, just looking for clarification. I just got done doing extensive testing with and without live wallpaper. FOR ME (bolded for emphasis), the live walls, DEFINITELY, slow down my Droid. Smooth sailing with a static wall, lagginess, with the live...
What adrynalyne means by data wiping is clearing the data partition and clearing out cache, I haven't seen the Stock recovery image for some time now, but before the install of the update.zip there has to be an option to wipe data and cache. It is always recommended that you do this for a cleaner install, especially going from 2.0.1 to 2.1. Just remember that when this is performed, it does just that..... wipes data...so you will have to start brand new, and sign back into your gmail account to retain your contacts...You can however buy a backup from the market...Titanium is well recognized, as well as my backup pro...both offer batch installation for quick and easy recovery..

F YES!!! Drinks all around I'm stayin up!!! F IT:icon_ banana:

Worked perfectly.
Seems at least as smooth as BB V.9 @800Mhz was.
And honestly, it's a little smoother in some places IMO

Yahoo mail works through the email app - just enter your email address and password and it now automatically sets up the account. Only downside is 5 mins polling is quickest option... but thats not a deal breaker to me. would rather have it this way then forwarded through gmail and then back... thats just a PITA.

OK, I'm ready to do this, should I do the factory reset and cache wipe then apply the update?

I can back up my Apps, just curious as to how many just applied the update without this step and had no lag per se.

I figure I'll be doing this in a few hours...
