Yes the update only has 3 screens and the app drawer will be the same as well. These are probably future updates for droid users.

Helix Launcher will get you up to 7 screens and Helix2 Launcher will get you up to 7 screens and the 3D app drawer if you are interested.

I know this has been addressed, but I'm headed out to work, so I can't search thru 118 pages at the moment (sorry),

But is there a good reason to unroot and go to the new update? I'm running (and loving) 2.1 Bugless Beast (5 screens, smoked glass, OC to 1.0G).

I would say do not unroot, but wait for Pete to put out an ESE81 Bugless Beast Rom.

The reason the browser is faster/smoother is because they screwed with the resolution. It's pretty crappy looking when in motion. Go to a web page with a picture and then scroll the screen and you can see it become very pixelated. The text does too. You can watch it change by touching and holding a spot on the screen. It's ugly!

I've never paid attention to the alarm clock. I don't know what you mean by better contrast, it's just a choice of a couple of clocks.:blink:

Ok, yesterday i heard about the update being rolled out. Now what is the latest? I take it that people are getting the update, then? So it was legit? Is the OTA still being active cause i have not seen one yet. Update me please.

I've never paid attention to the alarm clock. I don't know what you mean by better contrast, it's just a choice of a couple of clocks.:blink:

I'm guessing that he means the clock when in the dock/multimedia station.

There are many manual update mirrors around atm. Look around - you'll find one.

Speaking of which - I just manually updated. Snappy! My Droid is thanking me right now! Great update! Can't wait to tweet via voice!

Yup, there is a thread in general discussions where you can download the zip file for the update.

Update is alive and well. Go to the news section and you can discuss it there. There is another thread in the general forums discussion that discusses how to install.

Open up something that requires text input (twitter, messaging, buzz, etc), bring up the virt. keyboard. There, instead of the previous comma key, you'll see a little microphone. That's your speech -> text
