Android 2.1 Update Rolls Out For Motorola Droid!

Update-1 might have been a quick update just to stop all the complaining from people on where the update was. Following updates might fix the multiple home screens and other add-on that aren't in this update. The phone still might have issues with those applications and further updates will be needed to correct and fix them. Just a guess.

I'm catching up to threads, in case this wasn't addressed.

2.1 original code was 2.1-r1.
2.1 updated code was 2.1-r2, aka 2.1 update-1.

Its just a newer version fo 2.1.

Do not use this file!

ever since I installed it I have been getting an error message, javaxnet.net.ssl.Exception:hostname in certificate does not match.

I am unable to run market place updates now.

be warned!
First I have heard of this issue, are you sure you did everything correctly?

First, can you install it incorrectly? Won't it just not install? Secondly, yes, I am fully confident that I followed the installation instructions provided by the source to the letter.

Just one way. Success or failure. There is no in between. Folks having issues need to factory reset/wipe data. 2.0.1 installed apps don't play nicely with 2.1. They should have made the update wipe the phone.

People would complain even more than they already do if it did this.

I'm gonna step out on a limb and say you are mentally challenged. All I said was, I don't believe what Verizon told you over the phone. I also said I wouldn't believe it until I saw the update in person.

Some people should just stop posting if they don't know how to read.

it's funny to watch people when they can't admit when they were wrong.

First manual update, did not wipe the phone. The performance was good. Got to work, sat in the parking lot and wipe/factory reset my Droid, wipe the cache re-applied the update and overall, it is snappier for me.

Admit what was wrong?

Anybody else having issues updating apps from the Market? Just got the update this morning and went into the market and had 2 apps that needed to be updated. But, it never downloads it. :(

Anyone else?

No issues here. Maybe uninstall and re-install the app(s)?
