Another Bionic that can't get a data connection... no 4G/3G/1X signal.. only wifi...

I've been testing the replacement phone and the data connection seems to be holding up so far. Can't wait to hit the road tomorrow and see what happens. I have 5 days to return the original so I plan on putting it through its paces.

I am in a strong 4g area. Traveling in and out of 4/3G has given me issues. The past 2 days of back and forth I haven't had a single connection issue.

Im also in strong 4G haven had any trouble switching from 4gto3g in a week or so. How ya figure

My Bionic has not had a data connection all day today and no matter what ritual I perform, it won't connect. I am getting frustrated with this phone. I normally get solid 3G coverage and weak 4G coverage here. I can get solid 4G outdoors in many areas but today I get NO coverage. I am wondering if this has anything to do with all the RAZRs being activated. Who knows?, Maybe it's a coincidence.

Hey Scott.

I've been testing my "new" phone I received in the mail yesterday as I drove around from ohio to michigan. this new phone is actually performing better than my original one. I haven't experienced any major outages. I don't know what area you are in but things seem to be okay here in ohio.

I got a replacement bionic last week also, and it has been better as far as LONG TERM outages. This one loses data and gets it back within a few minutes, much like some are experiencing with the RAZR.. Yesterday (My heaviest usage day streaming music and doing homework all day) I suffered 15-20 total outages of this nature.. some lasting about 10 minutes. Called tech support AGAIN, and the rep I finally got said he had seen an issue like this once before with very similiar surrounding circumstances (including multiple replacement bionics) and said a SIM card fixed it. I've got a new SIM card coming in the mail wednesday, I'll report back after... 2nd support ticket created on my line now -.-.

Anyone else had VZW claim it's the sim card and actually replace it with good luck? The tech assured me this would cure the problem as it did fix it in the other persons scenario.

I just can't imagine it's a SIM card issue when I have no problem with 4G LTE.. would it not be both data lines that suffer?... I think they're trying to string me along for the moto update, good luck with em to that I'm just biding my time waiting to force them into a corner on the nexus or rezound lol.

Well, I tested my replacement phone for about 4 days and it isn't any better than my original. I called up verizon on my 250 mile drive down the ohio turnpike Friday. I told them that this new phone isn't any better so what is next? I told them I want out of the contract without paying the early termination fee, the rep sort of laughs and says oh no no. I got on with a supervisor named Chelsea, she read through the notes and said we need to open you a service ticket so that we can determine whether it's the network or the phone. At that point, we can go further with resolving this issue. She said she would read the notes from the tech and call me back Monday evening. The tech comes on talks through everything with me and the assures me that there is a problem with the phone and it's not the network. MONDAY NIGHT HAS COME GONE AND NO CALL FROM CHELSEA! WTF?

Have fun with that man, I've been going through it for two months. Had a support ticket open for 2 months now.. they are checking the network again, and have sent me out a new SIM card. You'll be lucky if you get them to get you into another phone. As for early termination, if you were grandfathered in with unlimited data, I would think twice about that one. Make them step ya down to a 3g phone until the hand-off issue is resolved... from the review I've read on the Nexus though it doesn't have this issue in reviewers hand yet. The RAZR did have it when it was reviewed. they have exhausted every option after the new sim card comes in tomorrow for me... then it's my turn to play ';..;'
